Here in the great USA all life is worth so little. People kill people for the stupidest shit. But i've never heard of someone getting arrested for killing a fly,mouse or mosquito. All which are known for carrying disease. And yes if there's a fly on the screen door I'll open it and let it out. But if i'm sitting down and a fly keeps buzzing around my head after repeated attempts to shoo it off, that shit eater is going down by either fly swatter or scraficed to the spider outside

my girlfriend is a pretty hardcore card carrying PETA member and I was busting her chops about the fly incident...she told me to read for myself the PETA statement. At least she isn't like the nutjobs who only want to save the "cute" animals.

It gets tougher and tougher to eat burgers around her though... ;-)

That is only the beginning of the hypocrisy at PETA.

They essentially are a business masquerading themselves as an animal rights group, playing on the emotions of people that care about their fluffy cat Winky.

They did that on Conan last night. It was a cheesy bit but they had him catching the fly with a frogs tongue.

Peta is against having pets, but won't come out and say it, for risk of losing donations from all the pet owners who support them.
