i use to work for that fucked up company, ibill. I've never heard of any of those names listed. i came way after all the bullshit went down. basically segpay was and still is the new ibill. all the crooks from ibill formed their own company and its called segpay. i only worked there 5 months. it was a total joke. i was in sales trying to drum up business, but mostly took calls from pissed off webmasters wanting to know where their money is. i was making really good money for doing nothing so i stuck around for 5 months. very shady people that worked there. jeezus.
i found out exactly what went down. basically all the upper management and sales people kept "paying themselves forward" is how i was told. they would keep all your money up front to put in their own pockets first then they thought they could "pay the webmasters next month" but they kept doing it month after month. sure they had their cars and huge houses. one guy who came back told me he was in sales and made like $25,000 a month for a few months straight and he bought not only himself but his mom a house too! and thats just a sales guy. God only know how much upper management was putting in their pockets. So basically it all snowballed after a few years of paying themselves first and then its like "oops, we dont have any money left for our actual clients because we all put it in our pockets". Its nothing but total greed and robbery. I cant believe they got away with it actually. Its no different than robbing a bank. You webmasters probably already know this whole story though. |
Thanks. This is very interesting.

Ok, so they are still in biz. Why don't the ones that they owe money to join together and nail their asses?
I was one of the lucky ones that never had any dealings with them. |

Thats why it good to keep this on the first page, so at least a few newbees will see what a bunch of asshats Iballs is. It would be great if people who post on other boards make a link to this thread, that way we can cover more ground. Looks like more than a few of the old Iballs staff are still running this new incarnation of online theft :321GFY:321GFY |

Maybe I'm thinking too far out the box but the thing that really amazes me is the banks and credit card companies who approved them to deal with other peoples money again. |

LOL. the problem is that what moneys that were owed to webmasters, the liabilities were to the old iBill.. the new iBill, whether you think of it as segpay or ibill.net don't have the direct liability. if there was fraud, then the corporate veil can be pierced and officers can be held liable. you would need to fire up a class action lawsuit by some attorney who would try to uncover the muck.. once he's done that, and the court does find executives guilty, then collecting the judgment is another matter.. and then after some money was squeezed out of former cold ibill execs hands, the lawyer will probably take like 60%.... and the rest is split up among the defendants... and then since you probably claimed the money withheld from ibill as a loss on your corporate taxes, that you will then be taxed on the $5.32 that each plaintiff would receive. it all just sux Fight the money black hole! |

the better the job that is done in documenting, the easier it will be for them to smell blood and want to take up the case. after that, its in their hands to go through the process. i do not have the time for this. there should be plenty of pissed off enough webmasters to take up this fight. Fight the passing of the baton! |
