Your argument is moot, every example you used is a TGP/MGP which isn't even the same GENRE of adult site as Stile Project.

You see... Stile has a following, everyone knows of Stile Project, and what it's about, he can probably say "buy this site membership or I'll kill you" and instantly send hundreds of signups to that one site... Can a TGP do that?

I say hold onto it man, like everyone else is saying. If that is your baby and the only reason you're selling it is because your buddy got another opportunity, it doesn't seem like a good enough reason. I can guarantee you will regret it later. Especially now with so many people looking for jobs in this economy, there is plenty of talented people who would JUMP at the opportunity to work with you and help you build what you want. Good luck w/ whatever you do with it though, your site was one of the originals and I have mad respect for what you've done.

stile, what happened in october to give the site such a traffic boost? looks like it was down to about 15k alexa, then all of a sudden up to top 5k. then another jump in january to top 2k. the difference between 15k in alexa and 2k is probably about 300k uniques a day. from experience stuff like this just doesn't happen with an established site so i'm wondering how you explain the jumps? might help prospective buyers who're wondering. good luck with the sale..

it's simple... i had stileproject.com and stilemedia.com. all the videos were hosted in stilemedia.com, and all linked from stileproject.com. stilemedia.com was around #5000 or #6000 on alexa, and stileproject was #10,000. i just merged stilemedia into stileproject.com so everything was under 1 domain instead of just link to the same site on a different domain that had the pics/vids.

then i also switched to flash videos embedded on the site. things just exploded after that :D

two things happened.. 1: i moved hosts and bought 20 new servers. all the money i had went into that. all my old gear was OLD and falling apart/dying.

2: my paysites started doing really crappy the last year so i started giving my biz partner money each month, since he used to just get all the paysite money to cover his salary.

so now i dont have much money left and stuff just started doing good again the last few months. it's kind of like owning a mansion but having no money to buy anything for it :)

i'm sure this has happened to a lot of people. business always has its ups and downs.
