Tampa has Ybor and that draws Guavaween & Gasparilla
Tampa is the Strip Club capitol of the USA......but their higest profile club Mons Venus is NON-alcohol....or NO liquor.

the other drawback to Tampa is that it closes......its not a 24/7 town.

While down in Miami if you go downtown to Club Space.....over the weekend the party doesnt stop till dawn......and its right next to a stip club the GoldRush and is also open 24/7.

Also the strip clubs in SOUTH Florida are really DIRTIER......if your looking for those style clubs.....and your not too far if you want to drive to Fantasy Fest (Key West).....you also have Hallandale (NUDE) Beach.


Guavaween or Fantasy Fest = Florida's ver of Mardi Gras.


Do yourself a favor and dont move to Orlando unless you have kids......since its a DISNEY based town....the mouse rules the roost in their space.

I live by the Tampa area and I love it here, Miami is only good for a few blocks and thats it, once you are out of those blocks you have to really becareful where you are

i dont know anyone in FL at all.. I want somewhere i can meet people and mingle easily.. somewhere like SoBe.. I dont want to be in the suburbs with single family homes all around

Dude South Beach is kinda unique unto its own......St. Pete Beach is as similar as you will find.....but its not nearly anywhere close.....just to let you know the scientologists has their HQ in that area......and like people have said Tampa has its + and its -.....So I would recommend if your determined on either one stay just a few months in both.....then decide.....you are also looking at currently "out of season" factors as well. it factors more into Snowbird places mainly but its like day and night when "in season" begins.....

Stop asking where stuff is and how far it is and learn to use google maps for fuck sake.

depending on location, one place could be 5min away or 45min away.... example NJ to philadelphia is 10mins if you live in South Jersey off Rt 1, but its 2hrs away if you live in Hackensack NJ....

Google maps has deceived me a lot.. my problem right now is just trying to figure out shit.. so im prolly gonna live in both and then decide..

Miami = great place to visit
Tampa = great place to live

Also....for the record....Tampa's best night spots haven't even been mentioned yet. There are place that are FAR better than Ybor city. Channelside, Hyde Park....etc way better and way more chicks that you can actually talk to.

be prepared that if you live on that side of south beach (beach side as opposed to bay side) it will be crazy. There's always tons of ppl around and is party central..Clubs restaurants, bars, hookers ;)

If you want a fun place to live on bay side.. check out the www.flamingosouthbeach.com

The pool scene on Sunday at the flamingo is second to none.. Place is probably 1/2 Hot girls but be prepared for a college type atmosphere :thumbsup
If you live in south beach u hardly use your car, u can drive a scooter or bike everywhere..

Also, tampa and south beach are very different..like night and day.. If you want fun, sun, blue water beach, hot girls, Caribbean style living, miami beach is the best.. if you want to drive everywhere and deal with rednecks.. tampa is more your speed ;)

whats the difference between the bay side and beach side?

if you live on the bay, you face west over the bay and downtown miami, if you live on other side, you face east and ocean and no land.

why don't you just visit both spots and see what you like better? spend a week in each
