The beach is a community unto itself really, and while fun I wouldn't call it close to nightclubs. Night spots...yes. You're looking for Gulf Blvd. As far as the negotiation goes....just ask someone. It never hurts.

I like Miami better. Then again I grew up there. My grandparents live in Tampa and I think it is a bit boring. I would check out Temple Terrace. My aunt lives there and it is nice, right by Tampa.
