It appears he feels he is doing programs a favor by creating a place where they can find hacked passwords.

Yeah, not sure why I get that feeling.

ps: if you are sponsor and you want to be removed or changed passwords, contact me at passpedia@gmail. i am sorry if i made any problems and damage to you.

... and just some additions after reading thread at gfy ... ratios are good for some sponsors, not for all, it does matter how is page with your sites indexed in se, some sites are doing 1:20 some are doing no sales as the sites are not seen in se. and next thing is that i have already posted about this at gfy and nobody noticed. as always, drama is better solution i am still waiting for some emails ... wish you best with your sites everyone!

It is a real password sharring site.
It has cost us and I suspect many of you members when there passwords get locked and damages in stolen content.
I have contacted the server company at this point the reply I have gotten is not positive on their part.
I have sent it to legal and will not comment any further on this matter until it is resolved.

Any other owners in this list that have taken a hit, please hit me up.
We are taking action in this and would like to get you involved.
We have so far taken screen shots of the site documented all relevant info and have tracked our logs using the stolen passwords.
Please hit me up with your doc's and info and I will give it to our legal dept.

There not fake is the problem.
At least not all of them.

»Rob Content« 07-10-2009 04:00 AM

If you are running a paysite in mid 2009 and don't have proper members area protection in something like strongbox you making a huge mistake and should rethink your game plan...

Right?

i was trying to think back about how many hundreds of thousands we made from password traffic and just gave up. way back when... these sites were extremely common. some poeple have built huge empires on them - i.e. Leo and myfreepaysite.com who ran nothing but password sites which is how he built up all his initial traffic and it converted pretty good. Brad Shaw even sued him for hacking his servers to get passwords. now everyone acts as if its some new disease that just appeared.

its not like its a tough thing to protect your passwords.... that's why the vast majority of working passwords are for shitty sites. its pretty pointless to get pissy with someone who is collecting info that can be easily protected.

:2 cents:

JimmiDean 07-10-2009 04:35 AM

Our info is protected and well.
That is not the point.
However every member that has his password hacked and then shut down by proxy pass etc can be a lost rebill and customer for me and for my affiliates.

mrwilson 07-10-2009 04:47 AM

Think his board is bad you should google for one called lawina (something like that anyway)

google alert and a couple of other service that turn into hahahahah.com whenever you type them in do.

polling for keyword terms is a very simple scripting task to do.

of course a guy who doesn't realize that php random generator is not really random may not realize that.

I think it goes without saying that he's been terminated from our affiliate program.
It's also interesting that a guy with a password site would give his full name and
address to us, the company fighting against password sites. That's not exactly
brilliant.

bobby666 07-10-2009 11:40 AM

at least we know now that he is even a webmaster

No reason members should be locked out

Quote:

However every member that has his password hacked and then shut down by proxy pass etc can be a lost rebill and customer for me and for my affiliates.
That's exactly the reason why PhantomFrog has the Automated Member Support (AMS)
feature. There is no reason why any legit member should ever be locked out of the
member's area they are paying for. AMS provides 24/7 access to legit members and
none to leechers.

When password abuse is detected, the password is changed. The next time the valid
member tries to login, Frog uses their email address to validate their identity and issues
them a new password directly via email. This strategy breaks the cycle of password
abuse and frees up the webmasters to do more important work than replacing stolen
passes. More importantly, that's one less lost rebill for you and your affiliates since site
access was never interrupted.

It doesn't hurt that Frog has consistently outperformed ProxyPass and Pennywise
in password abuse detection. Prove it to yourself by installing our Free Trial leaving
ProxyPass or Pennywise enabled.

Thanks

George

Here's a idea.. kill the site and any others you have that deal in PW's. No one should have to come to you, to get their shit removed. It's like saying the govt should have to ask you to remove CP from some user upload site otherwise it's ok.
