What if you combine the paysite with the niche content and offer niche live cams etc inside the members area along with a forum etc?

15. Rule #1 of business: "Find a need and fill it." If you feel there is a REAL NEED for your paysite, then launch it. I personally can't imagine a need for more non-niche paysites right now. If you open a paysite now, it better be a GREAT one.

Dude,
What the hell is it like to be Steve Lightspeed? Way way back Tawnee Stone was the first proggie I pushed (I still have the photocopy of myfirst check), and I always wondered what it was like for the man in charge.
Thanks.

16. FUN. The last 10 years have been the best times of my life. Although sometimes I worry that the best times are now behind me.

great.. question about your internal traffic sources.. What kind of traffic, what's converting the best and how are you promoting it (nn, softcore pics, nn vids, softcore vids..) ETC.. I only ask cause I would love to get back to making money with your program but haven't had much luck as of late. If you'd rather not post details here maybe you could icq me sometime or email me

webmaster @ silentbucks.com ICQ 46-785-108 (you already have me on your list under SBJ or Silent Bob most likely)

18. Viral traffic is the shit. My biz lives on it now. Let's talk more offline, anytime.

(If all sponsors are deemed to be equally good sellers)

19. Push only what YOU like, and be honest to your surfer. We all made more money before paid placements.

20. Refer to #19. The guy with a sweet tooth knows where the best bakery is, right? Stop chasing the money and promote what YOU like BEST.

Vjo 07-09-2009 09:31 PM

Thanks Steve, Damn good point.

Promote what I like best and be honest to the surfer.

Damn good advice in today's day and age. Glad I asked.

Thanks Steve :thumbsup

Glad to have you back Steve... you don't know me... i'm one of the thousands of affiliates quietly pushing you and others sites, but I respect your empire you've built along the way and appreciate you moving back here. :2 cents:

Damn, just missed the 20 question.

If you don't mind answering one more, I'd appreciate your input.

Q: Have you thought about doing any mainstream? If you have, are you? If you have and aren't, what would you do? If you have and are, what are you doing, and what do you suggest others to try out?

see #19 and #20 --- same principles apply to mainstream.

I don't do anything in mainstream now, but I would be open to offers and opportunities.

Funny thread, I'm not buyin' it though.

If things were head-over-heels great you wouldn't have wasted valuable time and effort posting your last 2 "things are better than ever" threads.

:2 cents:

Agree with most of this except the thing about people wanting it all. If they did Tubes would not be a threat. Because you can't give away "all" for free. Just little snippets.

:2 cents:

Depends, sometimes the cost of creating the niche content is not justified by he return. Up until a few years ago the best niche content was on DVD because the returns were better. I've lost count of the number of people who have asked me to produce niche content for a fraction of the return that magazines and DVD paid.

Live cams is something we should all be looking into and hitting the income of the Tubes. We offer it for free from inside our sites. We ca afford it.

But if you're lucky enough to have an archive of content that can't be shot easily today you're sitting pretty. Astral Blue.

Many people have seen ratio's and sales go down in the last 6-12 months what is your take on the economy's affect on adult sales and the affect of tube sites on adult sites today.

GM, and lots of companies are DEAD, and it has NOTHING to do with tube sites. Tube sites are easy to blame, but we've always fought piracy on the net in some form.
