Shouldn't you be busy trying to sell your crappy cookie cutter websites to an unsuspecting newb on DP instead of putting your 2 cents in threads that are over your head?

Well read the S-1 filing again and you'll find Penthouse Media Group borrowed heavily to purchase Various Inc, FriendFinder Network now needs to pay off the resulting debt.

I a done trying to explain an LBO to you people..

Friday is laundry night, right?

As I recall, the takeover of Penthouse from Guccione was somewhat suspect/disputed, and if memory serves me right, reports were that the new owners schleped in and were a part of the iBill debacle, and then they purchased Adult Friend Finder for mostly (possibly worthless) stock options (one could assume given the reported status of iBill and Penthouse at the time), and they have been fruitlessly trying to shop their operation in search of IPO funding for a long time now, even though their operation is hemorrhaging cash (if I am interpreting their financial filings correctly)...

BTW, if I am not mistaken, AFF is one of the major advertisers on sites that are inflicting major damage upon the adult biz.

Did I miss anything? :upsidedow

Various operates more than 25 networking sites and says it has a member base of more than 260 million consumers, about 1.2 million of them paying subscribers.

The combined revenue of both companies is projected to be $340 million in 2007.

so 500M would basically cover around 3 years of profit?
