Law of Attraction
You brought this shit storm on to yourself. This shit storm will repeat itself over and over again until you get it right. Well, at least you have free health care. |

i agree :2 cents: |
There is no shame - hell D Trump has gone bankrupt and even I about 4 years ago and I am sure that we aren't the only ones in the future within this industry who will have to do that.
Keep strong my ol' friend and good to see your face around here once again. |
Scott, whatever doesn't kill you will certainly make you stronger. Your health and your family's health are all that matter in the end, not a benz, not a fancy lakefront property. You'll be back up and ballin in no time with the friends you've got behind you. I have no doubt.

i would be real skeptical of the guy who spent the bulk of his years calling each and every one of you an idiot when he apologizes.
hitting rock bottom is one thing.. being forced to realize you've fucked up is one thing continued sincerity (when its not a behavior rooted in necessity) and changing as a person are another thing completely. just like a drug addict hits rock bottom eventually... they break down, they apologize.. they can't believe what they've done and how they acted but without long term treatment, the vast majority of the time the drug addict, remains a drug addict.... because the problem was never the drug use to begin with... the drug use/abuse is most often a symptom of deeper issues. i strongly suspect that a year from now, you will still be seeing the same person from years past, once again calling all of you idiots. just my opinion. |

I'm NOT apologizing for calling ANYONE an idiot. I'm apologizing for leaving adult and my true friends. I'm apologizing for fucking up my personal finances and not being able to help friends. I'm apologizing for taking too long to square up accounts. I'm apologizing for letting my traffic slip. Idiot :2 cents: |

That being said, I think it is even more difficult to openly admit a failure and it is something not many people can do. I think Scott deserve some respect for being upfront, I would rather work with someone that's upfront with everything rather than trying to hide / cover up their failures and dragging you down or causing various problems :thumbsup Jumping from one business to the other is probably one of the biggest reasons for failures. Good luck on recovering and remember to stay within your business expertise! |

just like steve lightspeed "apologizing" - his sites in today's market suck, he has no hope of gaining meaningful affiliate traffic, conversions for that shit has dropped right off the fucking charts, competition is fierce and people think he's a dickhead... so once he's forced to realize that he's fucked without all the people he alienated, he's "sorry". but its fake. neither you or steve could be genuinely "sorry" for anything unless it came on the heels of years of therapy. :2 cents: |

So who's the dude that was going to blackmail you?
|

Um, he said the reason he came out was because his pissed off land partner was going to out him, not really what I'd call being "upfront". |
Scott, my friend, it takes a big man to come out with a post like this. I truly respect you and I know you'll bounce back to a level higher than before!
If there's ever anything I can do, let me know. And I'm looking forward to taking you to dinner the next time we're in the same city :) Cheers! |

its like saying about someone - "he's another person completely when he's drinking" its bullshit. that person you see when they're drunk is their true personality that they aren't showing you when they are sober because they have learned to repress those impulses and behaviors. boards are the exact same. of course people act differently when they are trying to do business, trying to get traffic, trying to lower processing fees, trying to get breaks on hosting or whatever. of course they're "nice in person" |

I show respect and I start with respect with everyone. When i see something stupid I call it stupid. People just say more stupid things on gfy then when in person |
Well, thanks for the info. Good luck chief.

Other folks have already pointed out that the most successful people have big ups and big downs, so I'll just say I'm sorry to hear that happened to you. You deserve better and I'm sure you will get it *hugs*

Being nice will not always bring the best results. I'm assuming you think that people when posting on the boards is completely honest in what they reveal about their personality like the way drunk people act. It's the only reason I can see you are bringing in drunk people to the discussion of a bankruptcy? |

i've got a bit of shocking news for you... a nice guy, who is professional and serious about business and relationships doesn't go to a forum and spend all day long calling people cocksuckers and scumbags and idiots. a dickhead who revels in being a dickhead does. :2 cents: |
Just Remember The Saying " The Biggest Risk in Life is Not Taking One "

Darling, the thing that separates a truly successful business person from the crowd is the ability to make millions, lose it, then rebound. I say you're on my way my friend. Hang in there, only way to go now is back up!
|
I wish nothing but the best for you and your family as you climb back up to the top :)
|
Scott - that bankruptcy is a fucking tough gig, good luck with resolving it all. It seems that a lot of very successful people have been completely down and out at one point - hope you bounce back.
I met you briefly many moons ago at one of the TGP dinners you hosted at the Mandalay when I was hanging around with Fade, Sonny & Andre (Jan 03??). I think that dinner qualifies you as a Top-Notch Stand-Up Guy! :-)) |

There is a long long long story on "Donald Trump going bankrupt".. As I understand it he had certain companies go under... he also had a well well timed divorce when he "wasn't doing well" and on and on and on |
So, even though you were hugely successful, as soon as the gun came out.. you decided to get out?
Hahahahaha, what a load of crap. |

Personally I don't need to like someone I do business with nor do I mix my personal feelings or moral thoughts into it, what counts in the end of the day in business is what's left on your account. Quote:
It really depend if you are a leader or a follower what kind of personality you "need". Myself, I would not go to boards and call people idiots, scum etc, but I wouldn't turn anyone down that came to me to do business because they called me an idiot. That just means that since then they've become smarter :winkwink: |
awwwww Very sad story Scott... Me and Patty wish you al the best in your "new" adult ventures and come back :)
See ya soon buddy :thumbsup |
fat internet nerd went out into the real world and got ate up by the streets. should be a cbc after school special.

"I haven't failed, i've just found 10,000 ways that don't work"
- Thomas Edison How is it being a failure if you have a go at something and it doesn't work? Being a failure would be sitting back and being too scared to take a risk............ *** Disclaimer : I can't stand Sleazy - comes across like a retarded monkey, however I can't believe all the idiots jumping on top of him right now. |
no one would care if he was a failure if he was a nice guy when he was at the top of his game.
the fact that she flung shit like a monkey at the top of the pile might have caused some resentment. |

It's sad that you had to announce it on someone else's terms but eh, now it's done. Even though you've gone bankrupt you're still paying back your friends who loan you money for this venture - that's nice and says a lot about your character.
I've learned myself that going outside of one's comfortable zone in business is often a bad thing. Best to stick with what we know best and make the most of it. Shit like this happens, you'll bounce back. The fundamentals in this business are still the same and haven't changed. Being away from the business for a while might actually be an advantage as you'll see things with fresh eyes. |
I can respect that....I realized along time ago that this biz has been there for me a lot!! despite what people say about it, even ones in this" biz" old saying goes....dont bite the hand that feeds ya....a lot of people leave and trash this biz when it has done so much for them.
