I haven't been following, do the Patriots have any chance?

Less money involved, more of a pure sport.

I did get to see Jordan when he played for the Wizards, that was pretty neat.

Been ages since I watched college bball other than march madness. I'd take Duke over Carolina but it'd be nice to see UCLA take it again.

casinos are my passion, I tend to go too crazy though, if I have a couple thousand in my pocket I lose all sense of value of the money

I have one ten minutes from my place, haven't been there in a while tho. Last time I gambled was in Vegas two years ago. Can't believe it's been that long :1orglaugh

I used to go a lot, and win 3 to 500 a week. I don't bring more than 150 to the casino though, the one time I brought over a grand I spent it like it was nothing.

I play all the table games, holdem too, even omaha or razz

holdem starts to bore me though at times, it is more of a way to relax for hours

DateDoc 08-09-2009 10:10 PM

it is easy to lose money and then some have the mentality I won $x dollars I can win that much again at least and go home with empty pockets.

exactly what I mean, especially the slot machines, they can eat hundred dollar bills so fast you don't even think about it as it's happening, the machines are programmed so well it is almost like hypnosis

Stallion 08-09-2009 10:11 PM

DateDoc 08-09-2009 10:11 PM

so true but slots rarely benefit the player

I went on a bad run last time I was in Vancouver and shot about a grand a night for a week, on the nights I would get ahead it just encourages you to go harder, the drive back to the hotel at 5 am after losing is always kind of depressing

The only game where the odds are in the players favor, is blackjack. Something like 1.2% in your favor if you play by the book.

it's a sucker game, betting on the horses or on sports is alot smarter, but the slots are quick entertainment

I've heard slot machines referred to as the crack cocaine of gambling, and it is kind of true, very addictive and unhealthy to your finances

well, you are close, if you play by the book you will only give up 1.2% or whatever it is exactly to the house, which are the best odds in the casino other than craps. If you manage to count cards you can shift the odds even better than that, but the casinos will boot you out if they figure you are card counting

Stallion 08-09-2009 10:18 PM

It has been awhile since I have been to the casinos. I use to play slots alot and won alot doing it. But that was before I got married and had kids. Now I have settled down and don't like to waste money. lol.

d-null 08-09-2009 10:18 PM

craps are an amazingly fun game, lots of crowd participation and excitement, and the odds are good for the player compared to many other casino games

it can play kind of streaky, when a roller gets on a winning roll, you can see stacks of chips made in a short period of time, it is pretty exciting
