Chris I know you are not racist but the comments you are making in reference to middle eastern food makes you sound like you are definitely taking a stab at the issue.
just my :2 cents::2 cents: |
Both shows are top notch and industry leaders! Both on my list to attend, although i have been extremely busy and wasnt able to attend Internext this year in Florida. Will be attending future ones....
I think : Xbiz Summer, Awards, Internext, Phoenix Forum and Webmaster Access are the best ones i enjoy! Competition is always healthy for everyone....it gives people the prospective on you and your competitors. Everyone has preferences and some people make some shows and sometimes miss them....its not wise to blame eachother during tough times for anything. We all have known eachother for a long time, worked together and party together, i dont know of details in relationships but keep good business practices especially during tough times sets your standards of who you are :-) and that itself will pay off....NO ONE CAN AFFORD TO BURN ANY BRIDGES IN THIS INDUSTRY. Or you will only be hurting yourself in the long run....and then next thing you know it, your out of the industry! I have seen this happen many times with others in my 20 years in the industry.... Chris and Alec i apologies for personally not attending the Internext show in Florida this time and the Xbiz Summer show, but we have been planning for WorldWideContent's future and growth. We will be attending shows and participating more aggressively in the near future as we ride through the vast changes.... Thanks to both shows and without you guys we wouldnt be in business :-) |

Ok so, assuming that... - You genuinely want to discuss ideas - You are completely committed to your media partners then I'd say using a public forum such as this one would probably be best - this way our event partners can also get involved so that no party is put at a disadvantage. Also, we could get feedback on the ideas from supporting companies and attendees. So, if you agree, then I welcome you to start the discussion by posting some of your ideas either in this thread or in a new one (perhaps Julius could start it). Alec |

you guys are making me laugh....if i was not so busy i would help put together a "Free Network show" or close to free......simple and effective. This thread should not be here, what should happen is you folks should figure out how to save your shows in private. Figure out what went wrong and how to improve ....not fight and talk about food :2 cents: |

1. Badges at the shows for 300 dollars is a joke 2. Panel speakers need to be people who know what they are talking about or get rid of some of the panels if you cant fill them 3. over prices cabana, booths, and banners - shrinking show attendance does not mean price should go up, should come down to what its realistic 4. Xbiz Marrott woodland hills? was a bad choice, Roosevelt was amazing and classy, style points big time... 5. Pool at Xbiz /Hard Rock...pool music was so loud could not even hear who i was talking to in any of the cabanas, this is a feeling that was shared by most people i talked to...Music is good but at that level, was almost funny... Really think that the formula that Xbiz and AVN is trying to top each other etc...is an old school, ancient outdated way of doing business in todays world. I realize its a business the "trade show" business, but its shrinking, and not looking good, to stay on course these ideas above are a start...but there is alot more that these groups need to do. I know of some groups that are setting up "gatherings" in selected hotels around the world for invited companies.... Anyway this was some things I have thought of, i hope that they are looked at as "constructive criticism"....I dont care who puts the shows on, i just want to see "great shows" dazzle us....make us want to come again......:) |
