Personally I think it is great that Epassporte is trying to weed out the scammers and tax evaders. That makes it a better tool for the rest of us who use it for legitimate purposes.

Never had a problem with epassporte

so you would have no problems giving a hotdog vendor copies of all your id and ss#'s ? probably not , but what if i told you the hotdog vendor was fighting scammers and tax evaders, so its all legit..:thumbsup

Great analogy there :error

Comparing hot dog vendors to a visa card that lets you do business with almost anyone in adult and lets you take out money from any atm in the word.

That is complete nonsense. Epassporte is not a hot dog vendor. They are essentially an online bank account (I am not aware of any bank which opens an account without ID). The main reason people do not want to provide identification is that many are involved in tax evasion or fraud. I don't care what other people do but the people who use Epassporte for tax evasion and fraud reflect negatively on those of us who use it for a legitimate purpose.

In a free market I respect the right of Epassporte to try and run their business in a way that protects their legitimate law abiding customers. I also understand that if people don't like the policy they can use another service. :2 cents:

so you know better than me what I was asked? AFAIK I never sent even a driver's license or ID. Just an initial deposit with my MC (5 dollars or something like that) and that's it. AFAIK that's ALL what I was asked in the last 10 years or so by Paypal, happily you're keeping track of everything I missed on my side :thumbsup

btw, could you tell me the numbers of the lotto for next month? I could use some of your mighty mental powers! :thumbsup

The problem is that you assume you = the rest of the world, specially places under other laws, but whatever.. And by stating what you did makes you look a bit on the clueless side of things you know?

Anyway good luck with the attitude! (no point in wasting time replying to such a high authority!). :thumbsup

believe it or not, some of us speak from personal experience to what happens to us as individuals. Maybe you missed the following part, even tho you quoted it:

(nor any other similar service that I know of)
that "I" means... me. My English might be bad, but that is pretty clear I think :)

Now seriously, although objectively I can consider myself an authority in the subject (I mean in this context of adult webmasters and GFY board) and objectively the questions I asked weren't never answered (I asked these questions many times) for the simple reason that there are no reasonable answers they can give to public, I'm talking about my own experience. I don't have a crystal ball nor knowledge about each and every country legislation and regulation (not even Epass has it), so lay down the axe, I'm just having some fun since you decided to play the "smart ass" role without knowing any fact and ignoring the pretty clear fact that I was talking about my personal experience :)

and if you took the "smart ass way" to support EP, you'd know I love my EP, hence it bothers me why they behave in such an idiotic way and why each and every member in their staff (with the exception of Michael O) seems so inept. With way less of what they have I drove multi million marketing campaigns for VISA POLO and MC Preferred and the results were amazing. I think of what they could do with what they have (just for a start: a captive market niche!!!! a dream came true for ANY marketing specialist!!!) and I drool, but they chose to play like this. :Oh crap

well... :Oh crap
