You don't find it to be a lil bit shady at all to "not" approve an affiliate, yet they can log in, grab links and send traffic, and see that they are producing joins? And all the time they are not approved, they can work and function like an "approved" affiliate. You never mention it, you don't freeze the account, you don't contact them to say they should not be sending traffic because they are "not" approved. But, once they make some sales all of a sudden their account is gone with no explanation, and when they inquire about this you say "ah your fault bro, you weren't approved."

So affiliates need to be mind readers and assume they are either approved or not. How many other people are sending you traffic and joins that are "not approved?"

And another question.

If accounts like his are not approved for fear of fraud, and you make no money from them, why even leave them open and accept the traffic of a not approved webmaster?

Beanz 08-20-2009 10:14 AM

The logging in, this was an issue that is currently being addressed. As I said earlier in the thread, I haven't been in this position here long, but changes are being made.

As for the "Ah ur fault bro" I was trying to point out where it went wrong (and I admit I did a poor job of it), then it just blew up. We have talked about it, and we're cool with everything that happened.

You can call it shady all you want, but in the end, he still gets paid, and is happy.

in a nutshell heres what i'm assuming happened.

All accounts need to be approved, he signed up , couldnt access the site ( because he wasnt approved yet ), so he reset the password/email , this bypassed the approval part ( bad programming ? ) so he assumed he was approved when infact he wasn't approved yet.

OR

every account gets _dna( aka do not approve) tacked onto it until their signups have been manually reviewed for fraud.

either way neither party is too much to blame, although i would like to see a bit more correspondance from hushmoney to its affiliate so this confusion wouldnt take place.

#1 - Your customer service skills are shit (if that was the actual convo posted above)

#2 - Did you really just call someone a baby a sec ago?

#3 - Your very first message should have been......
"I apologize for any inconvenience, I will contact my boss & see what we can work out for you"

#4 - Why wasn't his account approved? Do you guys have a newbie approving accounts? Pretty much everyone knows who Alias is....

pr0 08-20-2009 11:21 AM

Alias, did he just post your real first/last name (on your account) from that chat log as well?

Maybe you should get his first/last name & go edit your post.
