I would suggest 2 things to start with to help you grow your grass roots marketing more and less tube/gallery/hit/impressions..etc..traffic
you say Buy more traffic, I say create more traffic...
1. develop more sites with your existing content.
create 15 sites for $10,000 or 150 sites for $100,000.
make 15-20 pages for each websites for SEO and buy some inbound links.
all the sites should target a niche keyword that is looked up ALOT on google.com and is your niche/genre target market.
2. add more keywords to your google and yahoo Pay per click accounts and track the sales/conversions for all clicks purchased.. if you put $100k in ppc with yahoo and google with good keywords to start with... you might make back $50k the first 2 months.
but you will know what keywords convert and you will shut off the keywords that don't convert...within 3 months you will have a profitable google and yahoo account with the correct tracking on conversion and retention of each referred sale...
I was one of the largest buyers in adult with goto (overture,yahoo) back in the day.. with more then 400,000+ keywords....all at .01 then they increased to .05 I had a grandfather account running for years later... lots of traffic with big numbers of keywords.. then research what converts and what does not and only promote what converts when you have enough stats research...

i used to buy LOTS of ads with several of my paysites, when I find an ad that converts I buy all the traffic and the conversions go down..lol oversaturate is bad for conversions :Oh crap
