i just know ex's are ex's for a reason and i have yet to even fathom a reason to get back with an ex. i have stayed friends with 2 of my ex's, and one of them not only was hot, fairly well off money wise, and did not have that many issues. still would not get back with her if someone paid me and she did not cheat on me nor nothing like that. just was an ex and we broke up because i found her goals and such not lined up with mine.

You could have even gotten away with "I decided", which wouldn't have been as clear but could still be interpreted either way....
