Wow, never knew about any of that.
That's crazy they have allowed this to be built up like a war then. Did they want someone to get a broken leg ?
We think we have a big derby match here with Celtic and Rangers, but no way would anything like that happen...

Football is the main sport here in Belgium and millions of euros are pumped into it each year. Where there is alot of money, there is alot of dirt... we all know that.
Players like Witsel have 24 hour protection using body guards, police, etc....
The management of the teams from 1st division are going at eachother every day of the week using the press.
Football lost the real sports value years ago in Belgium. Now it's war, hate, money.....
Every week-end alot of games get replaced to Friday or Sunday because they don't have enough police on Saturday, go figure.
For example: i am the president of the supporters federation of Germinal Beerschot, we play 1st devision. Our enemy is RAFC, a team playing second devision in the same town, Antwerp. If i would to put a purple-white (my teams colours) shirt on and walk in a range of 10 miles from RAFC's home base i wouldn't last 10 minutes without taking a good beating. That's just the way it is uphere.
We as supporters are wondered it even took this long before all the hate got onto the fields. Take in mind that those players are young guys who are put full of hate.
Now the question here raises.... Do we blame the player(s), the supporters, the team managements or the Royal Belgian Football Federation for letting it get to this? And second question that now raises is.... How do we solve it? How do we bring football back to the people.
All the presidents of the supporters federations of the 1st devision teams have a meeting on Saturday, including me. We need to talk about the situation and talk about possible solutions, this just has to stop. People are getting hurt, not only on the field but also supporters. Two people actually died last season, young guys who just wanted to see their team play.
Saturday the teams in Belgium aren't gonna play so we have two weeks to let it all rest and hope people start to think.
