This industry constantly amazes me :Oh crap

rowan 09-03-2009 10:09 PM

I remember earlier posts about Berlin... something about him "testing" that the girls were suitable to perform on camera by cream pie'ing them in a private room?

JustDaveXxx 09-03-2009 10:24 PM

This is good!! Gets better and batter!!

billyb 09-03-2009 11:04 PM

You know the old saying"don't hate the player, hate the game". FMK has gotten millions of dollars from his endaveours, I guess the big companies he bilked were to stupid?, or to lazy to check out his past?.

FMK for Senate 2010, hell! he should run for Governor here in 2010:1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh. Some companies should just close their door if they have to deal with people like this.

While I might not see eye-to-eye with Francis this is incorrect

I was there when the door was kicked in

The guy who kicked the door in was wasted, and was just fucking around trying to make Francis come out his room, where he was camped out with one of the models

He was actually shooting them for his mythical POV cream pie surprise site, which would have been fine if such a site existed.

The issue was insited on doing a POV cream pie scene with every girl before anyone else could work with them.

He then got upset when he found out the agents were charging him for every scene and none of the male talent, myself included, wanted to work with girls after he cream pied them. The Euro porn girls we worked with didn't believe in using a douche. :(

InternetIsForPorn 09-04-2009 01:58 AM

Referring to the OP.

This happens every single fucking day in mainstream. Many "new media" companies do exactly this - buy chunks of junk traffic to show OMG HUGE RESULTS to suits from big corporations.

Every. Single. Day.

And I bet that this happens a lot in porn, too. But it's incredibly hard to prove.

So my question is, how can you prove everything you've said?

I have recently won a case in court similar to this one, but with a lot of hard-on proof, and it was still difficult to prove to the judge.

And again, I repeat myself that buying lots of junk traffic to improve Alexa is nothing new, nor is keeping advertisers happy by occasionally redirecting higher quality traffic.

I met the guy at the Miami show and smelled a scandal within minutes. The site looks like it runs on a $300 script. The movie rights for this story is worth more than the advertising you could buy on the site.

This story have sense,i'v seen this happening when i was in ptr industry, then was piece of cake to manipulate alexa rank to reach up to number 1000.When people will realize alexa is not valid info of site traffic.

12clicks 09-04-2009 05:54 AM

um, any "top companies" that were scammed because of alexa rankings aren't really top companies.

2MuchMark 09-04-2009 06:04 AM

I may get flamed here, but -

I met Francis and a couple of his partners years ago at Internext Miami and they seemed like ok people. At the time they were selling a service that would have introduced us to possible investors. I declined the offer but not because I smelled a Rat, it was just something I wasn't interested in at the time. Good meeting, learned alot, nice people. No hardcore sales tactics.

I met up with Francis again at Internext Vegas. Again no hardcore sales of any kind. "How's it going?" etc etc. Thats it. Same for Internext Miami this past summer.

A couple of weeks ago though, I received a phone call from a sales rep who told me he worked for iPorn. He was extremely bad at his job. I don't know who I felt more badly for: Him, or whoever his boss was. He was terrible.

He was offering me advertising on iPorn for I forget howmuch. $5000 I think. When I asked him what kind of value I was getting for my money though, he could not answer me. What are the stats? How many views will I get? Is this Pay Per Click? Exactly what are you trying to sell me? He had no idea.

So then I asked him if I could test his traffic. "Let's put an affiliate code up for a couple of days - paid if you want - so that you and I can test the traffic together to see if we can convert it. If so, I'll buy in".

To me it seemed like a perfect offer. I did not suggest that his traffic would not covert, instead, I said "Let's see if WE can Convert YOUR traffic". (I was careful to say it exactly this way).

He refused, and instead kept falling back on who the other advertisers were. "Look we have Video Secrets up there! We've got to be good! Why would they advertise with us if we weren't good?" I tried to explain to him that this was exactly the wrong kind of sales pitch to toss around.

I went on to explain that we will gladly pay for advertising as long as we can convert it and make money with it. I told him we did the same with Wildline and spend $30k a year with those guys and we have been their FAVORITE client for the past 3 years already (Hi Johnny!)

It really wasn't his day. I was READY to spend money. I was in a GOOD MOOD, ready to try out a new source of traffic, etc etc. Francis doesn't have the best reputation in the industry but then again so what we've all had shit thrown around at one time or another. If the numbers made sense, I was ready to rock. But nope. This poor guy just kept digging his hole ever deeper. He was the worst salesman I had ever talked to.

Anyway, thats my story with iPorn. I sincerely hope that all the stories about them aren't true. Maybe a post from one of their reps in this thread may help clear things up a little.

If anything, there's lots of lessons to be learned here. Always trust your gut. If a deal seems to good to be true it probably is. Try hard to make the best product possible and offer it at a fair price and you'll do alright.

Dirty D 09-04-2009 06:05 AM

LOL at the companies that bought traffic from this train wreck.

I had 3-4 online sales people hitting me up for weeks trying to sell that shit.
A quick look at Alexa shows that it is completely bogus traffic.

Anyone that gave FMK any money, either as an advertiser or investor deserves what they get.... Nothing.

This Douche is making the porn industry look bad... Which is hard to do!

they were even rude to Janessa, telling her she should leave her boyfriend because he was rich and good looking...I was a bit disgusted.......he=francis.......she was contestant #1

they were saying the winner would be announced on Monday so that they could *judge* the girls all weekend
monday came and they never posted who won
that i could see...but they def were implying whoever partied with them and fucked them would get the contract

winner to be decided on the following monday? WHY???
why not right then...well i know why

Funny you say that JFK and its so true I was so disgusted by him. I was barely home from Internext on the Sunday he had already blown up my cell phone offering me the 8K contract and asking me that he wanted ME to be the face of Iporn and wanting to be "partners" of my site ROFL. I told him that I wouldn't sell him a sliver of my site to Iporn for 1M dollars! He at that point said I was a fool for not doing it and I told him to BEAT IT! He wouldn't stop calling me on Monday and now I know why LOL

When they started they wanted me to sign-up to their data base of investors, i was not even looking for an investor. Then i got a proposal for 60K that said they will market my company to investors. Too bad they did not know i spent 10 years in wall street.

The Easy Way to Scam A Big Porn Company?Koenig style.

I?ve read several posts asking how Francis could scam a ?really? big company in our biz. It is simple. You recruit one of the top sales people on the inside to champion your deal and give them a kick back from the cash you scam. It looks like at least one of the companies on Francis? hit list got suckered this way. So, if you want some ?easy cash? and work for an employer that you secretly hate, just give Francis a call and cut a deal with him to screw your company. Just have your bags packed in case you are found out and act quickly while Francis is still around.

NEWSFLASH -Successful porn companies don't:
1. want or need any investors.
2. buy shit traffic and resell it to others
3. base your business plan on bilking investors

the old alexa bait & switch....

these aren't $25 hardlinks here. when dealing with big $ why wouldn't an advertiser asked to be invoiced periodically, AFTER their ad had been running and they could test out the traffic. especially with a co. that has no track record yet
