some many variable involved not one can give you a valid answer.
|
Of course they can.
There is people who don't even own a computer that will run million dollar online businesses in 5 years. Its not uncommon, its not a 'thing of the past' its just the way it is. |

Everything is possible actually. But i'd rather say NO.

I'm asking for myself. I've been pretty much part time in adult and I make like $50 to $100 a day in it. Which for me is great extra pocket money.
I got laid off a little while back and now starting to feel my back against the wall and Im thinking of just going full time working from home. And Im debating about working full time in adult, or doing something mainstream. My first love is really adult but all the "Sky is falling" stuff makes me think its better to diversify and try something in a different field. all I know how to do in adult is: - Promote other peoples pay sites - Make amateur looking pay sites (I already have a paid ccbill and visa account) - Make and submit galleries - I have a small mature-niche dating site and I haven't been promoting. I never really did avs sites or free sites, I always went after the faster traffic of tgps. I dont know anything else. People here talk about "thinking out of the box" and being innovative but really the only things I see anyone doing are tubs, tgps, paysites, avs (or aen whatever) sites, blogs, freesites, dating and cams. I dont see anything new about any of that. I could spend a few thousand $$ against my credit cards but Im debating in myself where to spend it. If my friend is doing all that work to make all those galleries and free sites and not making half of $500/day then I would get burned out. And yes that is a lot of work to start from scratch and edit photos and do the design then submit them all. I dont know why you all say it isnt. |
It's all about WHO you know not WHAT you know.
|
Clickhappy, I don't think it's impossible, though, I think it's highly unlikely unless you are coming in with a few good contacts and some money behind you.
Regardless, I wish you the best of luck. There is still plenty of money to be made. |

If you can make $100 day. Copy exactly what you're doing 5 or 6 times more. Don't try to reinvent something. Copy whatever it is that makes you $100 a day, and copy it as many times as necessary. :2 cents: |

And if you think doing 4 gallery and 2 freesites submissions a day = "a lot of work" then I would say - mothefuckingimpossible. |
yes absolutely... you need to know good designers, good programmers and a mind of your own and you can easily make $500 per day.

Seems lots of people aren't reading the whole post ;)

So you're not willing to do 'all that work' (a few hours/day) to make $250/day (~$90k/yr)? Gimme a break.

I have tried helping in the past on various webmaster boards, and when I would explain (more so back in old days with galleries, free sites, etc) how to make money doing a half day's work submitting.... people would say that exact same thing. "Sorry man, but that sounds like a lot of work". I would just chuckle. Most of those people are now gone, or out of business, or lost their asses doing it 'their way'. However, as I said in that other 'big brother the helper thread', 99% of the people do not have what it takes to work online. Some examples.... 1. Be in business for yourself. 2. Dedicated to the 'routine' and commitment needed for online work. 3. Will not invest 6+ months working towards a goal. Most give up in 2 weeks. 4. Creative thinking. Looking at others, throwing a new spin on it, making it your own. 5. Invest in success. Most are pathetic sheep who follow the herd, read and believe everything on the industry boards, are not reading trades or other sources, do not do trial and error themselves, always looking for the cheap host, the cheap designer, the cheap coder, the short cuts, and so on. These people are destined to fail, and almost always do. :2 cents: |
If you are J*w, Chinese or East-Indian the answer is - possibly. If you are not, you probably are working for one without even realizing it.
95% of the people on this board are very lucky to make $50 / day, do you think you are ten times smarter than 95% of the people here? |
knowledge and drive are key

I have to agree with toots Barefootsies!
This sounds sooooooooo easy but it's soooooo hard 1. |
I would say NO, but if the newbie just graduated from a top tech school he might have a head start.
|
Your last statement pretty much gives your answer. "4 galleries and 2 free sites is a lot of work" - then my answer is NO. Because it takes a helluva lot more than that bit of traffic to make $500 a day, unless you hit on every one. And to be honest subbing 6 things a day is nowhere near the "hard work" that has to be endured.

I think the answer is outsourcing. If you don't want to work you can hire some people form third world countries and delegate the work. It doesn't need to require much time but you can now submit 20+ galleries a day with few virtual assistants or more and scale it. There is always a way to make it happen. And $500 a day is not really a lot of money.

$500 x 365 = $182,500.00... hardly even worth aspiring to really. Maybe a car payment and some cat food at best. |
I wonder how many people that say its "no big deal" don't even remotely make close to that amount...:1orglaugh

I could post a detailed business plan outlining the steps required to be taken. All the testing, tweaking and brain work already done for you.
500 people will read it. 20 people will try to implement it but give up and 1 person will stick with it and make a decent income. Not everyone has the motivation to be self employed, which at the end of the day means less comp for those of us which do. :) -N |
Short answer yes with an if, long answer no with a but.
