To answer the original question, yes, I absolutely think it is possible to pull that much dough in just starting now as a newbie. If you are a workaholic and if you can stand doing a less good job than you wish when you start, it is possible to build. If someone just wants to be perfect and at that $ level from day one, that is not how starting functions. Everyone makes mistakes and some days are going to be better than others. I suppose one could quibble over whether you start when you begin drafting a business plan or when you begin implementing a particular milestone or whatever.

In summary, it was easier to make money during the heyday, but adult internet has not gone the way of the horse and buggy yet.

Sure it is but it will take one hell of a lot of work.
