Did it have more people than the "Million Man March" which had 400k to 850k (depending on the estimate)? That's a better comparator.

ABCNews.com reported an approximate figure of 60,000 to 70,000 protesters, attributed to the Washington, D.C., fire department. In its reports, ABC News Radio described the crowd as "tens of thousands

There are more redneck hate groups in California than combining 3 or more southern states LOL

And Nevada has quite a few Klansmen groups too! lol

http://www.splcenter.org/intel/map/hate.jsp

No other state even comes close to the hate groups in Cali, I suppose we start with pushing them into the ocean, the south is actually less racist than folks think. Much more racism in Cali than Ive experienced in the South.

please..the hate groups in Cali don't vote, obviously, but the rednecks in the South are still bold and upfront.. KKK is in every state, but in the south, they don't hide the shit.. and the scales are tipping

what are you talking about? scales? as someone in the south who voted for Obama, you wanting to break us apart from the US is somewhat comical ... you are funny man... either youve never been to the south or you really dont know much about the Klan and Cali LOL they have regular meetings in many areas, way more than ANYWHERE in the south.

http://www.stormfront.org/forum/showthread.php?t=436463

Klan acitivity has been on the rise in california for more than a decade and its been well documented.

http://www.jweekly.com/article/full/...-wake-up-call/

People have this image of the old south in their head and it amazes me after moving back down here from Cali to see it so undeniably. The south is far less racist than many areas I have been to and California included. Its 2009, this is the interracial capital of the world! ;)

All we can do is vote in the races, to lump all of us in with the "rednecks" down here and want to break us from the US seems highly naive to the scope of race in America and especially the south. Yes the republicans still get the majority of the vote, but not all of us voted republican! we have a strong libertarian grass roots thing down here, but we seldom win :(

There are countless people who have written about whether or not the south is as racist as has been made out to be, and judging by the amount of peple in hate groups, california has the entire south beat LOL The south is not as racist as people believe it to be, and unless youve lived here for extended amounts of time and intermingled with the folks/community you cant experience it...

The United States Postal Service (?USPS?) asserts that it no longer receives tax-payer subsidies, However, inasmuch as it is dependent on federal monies to continue operating, and the only source of revenue for the government is tax-payer dollars, this is a fallacious argument. For example, in 2008, the USPS financial losses amounted to $2.8B. The USPS was able to continue operating after a federal government ?bailout.? Hence, every piece of mail delivered by the USPS was subsidized, to some extent, by the US taxpayer.

I don't see UPS or FEDEX needing any bailouts. They run a business like a business needs to be run. I rarely use the mail and might even check it once a week. It could come once a week for all I care. The post office needs to learn to live within it's means just like I am required to do. Same goes for every other government operation. Instead of taking more and more out of my pocket to keep them afloat. For hundreds of years the post office was self-sufficient. It can be again if it would trim the fat.

Isn't the czar label more of a media thing than an actual title? I mean the Director of the National Cyber Security Center is called the "cyber czar". The Special Assistant to the Attorney General is called the "cleanup czar".

Is the argument over the nickname or whether we need these positions at all? Do we want to get rid of the Secretary of Homeland Security because he's technically called a czar? If it's about the word czar, it just comes across as more xenophobia in this country.

UPS actually lobbied heavily to have a law changed that would force their competitors to drastically alter their business.

Both have received government grants and massive tax breaks. Both have had regulations and laws put in place to make it harder to unionize on a national level. Probably a good idea to pick a different set of companies when pushing the private works better agenda. These have benefited a great deal by decisions made by governments.

These idiots obviously didn't pay attention in history class. They communists took the czar out of power in Russia. So of course there weren't any czars in the USSR. The czar was the king. And the last czar of Russia was executed by the commies as well as his wife and children.
