just to be clear, we've been actively monitoring the contest, any models caught using scripts to generate fraudulent votes can be ejected from the contest, please choose your words more carefully Mariah.

Now while, as certainly evident from other forums i've seen, during the beginning of the contest there may have been holes that some fans publicly stated they were cheating for their models, see phun.org contest thread post by "beerhammer", we took appropriate action and blocked mobile networks (where someone could just reboot their device and revote), as well we put in place banning methods to ban addresses of people voting via scripts where the script would generate 3 votes. As well we've been forced to even block whole server networks as some people were actively going out and buying server space with whole blocks of addresses to try and script with. luckily tho, those were caught instantly within a few votes, and our utilities constantly run and if found instantly ban whole ranges of addresses to curb the individuals.

keep in mind, just because someone goes out and buys traffic from The Hun(thehun.com) and other places it's not cheating. any fan or model can buy traffic themselves and send to their page. but i guess it's easier for controversy's sake to just claim foul play right?
