Since ethics and morals vary from culture to culture, there will always be conflict in this world. There will always be someone who is unhappy with what you are doing, no matter what you are doing. Here it seems absurd that someone so young should get married and get pregnant. Over there it's normal. Over there they consider it absurd, that we don't pray 5 times a day and that we live hedonistic lifestyles. Whatever, I've found it's best not to worry about other people's business unless it affects or intrudes upon your life.

OMG that is terible. :(

Thankfully she was in in country that is governed by the laws of GOD! Imagine, if this 12 year old girl had lived in a "progressive" country, she may have had an evil ABORTION, and LIVED!!!
Thank GOD that a hero killed TILLER THE BABY KILLER, so now we can rejoice, that here in America, twelve year old girls will die painful deaths before a SACRED FETUS is ever put in danger! Praise the lord! |
we need more deaths.

More violent, painful, 12 year old girl deaths especially. Vote PALIN!!! "Abstinence or death, except for my family 2012!" |

In fact, the majority of the world does not marry out of love. Perhaps they fall in love with the person they marry at a later time, but that is not the cause for marriage. The problem with most western minds, is they can't comprehend, and I mean really comprehend, that their way is not the best or only way sometimes. The longer I live in Asia, the more I'm starting to agree with their way of doing things, as it makes sense the more I can decipher what is really going on under the surface. |

______________________ *I said "useless" just because they don't value their lives at all. If someone dies, the say: "nothing special - god gave, god took". Most of village women don't know how old are them. The most widespread female disorder there is vaginitis. You said "they know what basic sanitation is"? To speak about diseases and death reasons there you must be a doctor (at least). Are you doctor? |

Strange that because I could swear a few areas around Johannesburg I've been to were Ghettos... Anyway you are playing on semantics I am sure you know he meant small villages and slums. You also talk about Yemen like you know everything about it because your mother in law has been there, have YOU been there? |
BTW you are arguing with DWB when he is the one in this thread saying the exact same thing you are :2 cents:

I'm so goddamn sick of people thinking GFY is the place to talk about news from yesterday. How about we talk about our BUSINESS instead of fucking watercooler babble you stupid fucks

hmm how about you decide what everyone else should do on a board that you are totally meaningless on? That would be kick ass. |

Actually we are not in good relationship with her, but there is no such a person I can trust more about Yemen. Here at GFY everyone is batman. Everyone was here and there. Everyone knows everything. Everyone is 100% right. One must be a complete idiot to believe into anything that everyone says at anonymous internet board. So I trust to the person who I know and who was working there as a doctor. Misters "I know everything" can pass by, because I have no single reason to trust them. Hope it's clear enough. |

If a 25 year old guy wanted to marry a 12 year old in the US, he'd be a douchebag. |

I had a bunch of posts quoted and was gonna reply, in long winded text, but I think DWB is doing a good job saying exactly what I was gonna say.
Keep on keeping on DWB, someone who realizes history and our evolution trumps today's modern laws and morals anyway. Nature > Laws |

Average teen pregnancy rate in Yemen is 3%, or 30 in every 1'000. Age of consent in the USA is 16-18. Average teen pregnancy rate in the USA is 8.6%, or 86 per 1'000. In fact, the US, NZ, Canada, UK and Hungry all have higher teen pregnancy rates than in Yemen. |
