Nah i really do, see I have a problem... I cant make my own... When it coms to my own shit I totally suck.

I hire out my own banners a lot - by that i mean for my own sites... not what clients order...

I think the problem is when you look at something you've made yourself you know how it was made, you see all the flaws, and you pick it apart worse than your harshest critic... at least that's how I am.

I actually make even more simple stuff for myself... most of my personal sites are all white backgrounds and very basic stuff, anything more is overkill.

KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPIDS!!

For example compare my portfolios to the overly graphic ones others have.

Mine: white bg, basic logo up top, nothing else. I dont even choose a font!

Others: dhtml menus, all CSS, way too much graphic work etc...
