Yeah kids are pussies these days. Well at least they have some balls to speak out and hit the streets against the system that fucks them in the ass daily. Billions and billions to bail out the bankers and fight illegal wars that will put your kids and their kids in debt till the day they die. While America's infrastructure crumbles, the dollar tanks, freedoms being stripped away, tear gassed/sound bombed and beat by police.

I also do not have problems with the police. I would not lump them all together, though at same time in a large group encounter it is easy even with training to fall into ass kicking mode - just the same as protesters can go from protesting to full on vandalism. That shit is just human and it happens in large crowds. Do not condone it, and another reason I stay away from that sort of shit whenever possible. If you aint there odds are you aint getting a night stick upside your head.

I pay attention to cops. I answer them in very polite two word replies unless some question requires a longer answer. I still then keep it as short as possible. Unless of course I am the one who called them. At that point I do not care if they are right or wrong, if they are on a power trip or not. That shit can and will be taken care of in court. Fighting with them or being a dick and well it will not get you anywhere.

I also appreciate that they show up when I call needing them. They do not send me a bill. Not sure about others but ours have done a pretty good job of keeping the small shit that eventually leads to big shit in check.

The 1st video was hardly police brutality. Those clowns didn't have a permit, were marching down the middle of a street and then not listening when told to break it up. It doesn't matter if they're students or whatever. Yeah that sucks the one girl was taken down forcefully, but when you break the law then resist arrest it's not all peaches and cream.

The 2nd video really pissed me off. That cop who beat that kid for not tucking in his shirt should be beat to an inch of his life.

After living in rochester NY, i can attest that RPD.. for the most part often over step their boundries.

RPD can be some of the worse pricks to deal with.

Fuck protesters. They should go get something more productive to do.

If they were smart they would have kept it on the side walk. It looked as though they were being baited with that fire truck coming and all the sirens. You have to yield to a siren. They should have used their head and let the law work for you, because you aren't going to beat it on the street. If they got off the road, this would have been a different scenario. I'm not saying what the cops did was ok, but when a cruiser is giving you the noise, move over. You can still protest on the sidewalk.
But yea, it seems that there is definatley a push towards keeping dissenters quiet though. Where is MLK when you need him :(

maybe in the old days when they used to be "peace officers".... These days they prefer to escalate situations, taze people, use excessive force......

looks like they were blocking emergency vehicles from passing in the street and when confronted they resisted arrested and made things even worse. it didnt look like they got any beatings, although i wouldnt mind seeing that with them being whiny hippies and all.

yess! that's right. the olden days when cops didn't use excessive force, weren't corrupt or escalate situations. the 1970s, the 50s, roman times, the middle ages- ahhh to have lived in the golden times other than now, when the police had morals and a conscience.

after talking to some friends from rochester, the protesters were blocking the road, they did not have a permit and prevented a fire truck from getting to an emergency call

If i was the police I would be a little pissed off at the protesters as well.
