On a related note, what i find funny is cowards who would sit back and watch some "girl getting smacked around by some dude", yet they would freak out if it was their mother/sister/wife who was being beaten by "some dude" while a bunch of cowards sat around watching.

I had an ex g/f try to throw a couple of punches at me once, I just grabbed her wrists and held them for about 20 seconds. It probably hurt her since I was squeezing pretty hard to make sure she wasn't going to pull out then land one, but at least it was a passive response.
