Stuff i thought would suck ass is making sales now tho, but not much.

It's amazing how things are changing fast every months. Nothing stands anymore. NOTHING. All the predictions are useless.

0:25k on PPS or revshare on lots of sponsors. Various niches, various projects.
For exemple, program3. Sales are gone now. Took what ? 4 months and it's already "old stuff " !
Jesus Christ ! Everything is going way too fast.

They will only be big guys and small ones. Nothing in between in a couple of months. :Oh crap

I am seeing a disaster this month and starving for sales. August was OK. September was bad but October is Oh My God!!!

I believe things can not change this fast. I think something is going on in background or just scrub. I'm goona ask ccbill to send the decline stats for this month to me.

Adult was always recession-proof, but the proliferation of free porn has changed that in a very bad way. Until online porn is locked down, sales will just get worse.

You ever buy ad space on a tube site? Guess what; the ads DO NOT CONVERT!!!! It doesn't matter how many views you get from these ads - the traffic is coming from FREE sites, so the surfers simply expect more FREE shit.

Stop the FREE FUCKING PORN, and sales will come back. Don't stop it, and within the next few months the online porn biz will be dead (or at least virtually non-profitable).

I know I'm beating a dead horse, but the writing is on the wall, and you know it.

A level of industry solidarity is imperative. If the govt won't step in to squash the tubes and piracy, then we need to do it ourselves, or start dusting off the resumes....

Those days are my favorites, when my processors work in harmony. We have noticed this tends to happen more on the weekends for us. The weekly stats are when one or two processors have "off" days.

Frustrating to say the least since there is no rhyme or reason. Many of you have said you are changing nothing, well same on this side. Hopefully it gets more stable, I like consistency. : )

For us it seems to be going up back to what our normal numbers are in colder months

SlammedMedia 10-15-2009 10:27 AM

October will easily be my biggest month this year! The past 3 months things have been going up steadily.

100% behing this

Jakez 10-15-2009 03:00 PM

You could be doing better every month, or worse and worse, but there's always that option to do better so you must be slacking somewhere. The game is constantly changing..

Fabien 10-15-2009 03:07 PM

You always have to look for these when someone says: "Sales are ok"

1) Number of posts
2) Number of years online
3) Number of sales they used to make versus now.
(7 sales this month is better than 4 when he started, traffic grows !)
4) Sig whores/representatives
5) Janak hahahahahahahaha (sorry, had to to say this, READ HERE BUYING SHITLOADS OF ADS WHEN A BONUS PASSES BY)

CCbill scrubbing all credit cards now.

No offence, man, but how can you post something like that. I didn't know ccbill is a name of some paysite. Billing ratio...god dammit.

Sure those are good guidelines but for someone like me who has been at It 10 years I have had mucho bigger months but this month is still working towards being the best this year. Simply cause I am working harder.

Better first half of the month now compared to last month the 1st-15th. So if that says something. I'm expanding my network in new ways now more than ever. I hate thinking of what things would be like if I was working this hard back in 2000. LOl

GAMEFINEST 10-15-2009 04:09 PM

now that i am about to sell my network...sales are at a year high

ugg!

NetHorse 10-15-2009 09:28 PM

I had the worst pay period in the last 3 years with top bucks. CCbill sponsors are way down as well. All other sponsors are about average.

NickB. 10-15-2009 10:18 PM

sales are sky rockin' it for me this month - June was a small drop for my own sales
October better than ever before - September on its way up hard

raven1083 10-15-2009 10:52 PM

October is been great

spunkmaster 10-15-2009 11:50 PM

I see the stats on millions of transactions and declines are up to 40% for some merchants and rebills are in the shitter on both mainstream and adult !

There's two things going. One is that some banks are declining online transactions because of all the fraud going on. They'll approve the transaction if the customer calls them before they put it through and the second thing going on is people's limits are being lowered like crazy !

We're getting a ton of calls every day because of the declines !

flashfire 10-16-2009 12:41 AM

better than summer but nothing to write home about

The answer is obvious: As an industry we are NOT giving away ENOUGH FREE PORN!

Want more sales? Just make more tubes, and keep supporting the guys who are behind the big tubes, as that will OBVIOUSLY help everyone make sales!

Duh, it's a no-brainer!

The answer is obvious, don't cut and paste the same shit in multiple threads.

The statement is consistant, but the text is different.

I did not cut and paste, but thanks for your 2 cents.

Very helpful....

Take away free porn, you take away global interest in porn, you take away sales, you take away affiliates, then less overall competition, and again less overall traffic because less overall global exposure.

Without free porn and piracy, Adult = Dead for most of us.

fatfoo 10-21-2009 07:45 AM

I remember some guy on gfy posting that his October sales are 60% of what he usually gets.

Sure, that makes sense... in Mentalville!

Remember all of the free porn BEFORE the internet? Oh wait, there wasn't any. I guess that's why people didn't ever buy adult magazines, and adult VHS rentals never made anyone any money in the past. Massive free porn is clearly the sensible answer, obviously!

You have been around long enough to know that sales were WAY better BEFORE tubes, so I have no idea what you are talkng about.

I agree that some free pics and 10 second previews helped ONLINE sales in the past, but today's free web content level negates the need to buy almost any adult anymore.

I have been around long enough to notice trends, that porn has grown, the mediums have changed... not just in porn either.

The majority of you are still selling content and doing direct sales to people.

IE: Build a website that has content, sell something through banners and links. A trend that has been dieing all over the Internet, YEARS before Tubes came around.

I look back at our Industry and I see people design better, but still build the exact same thing as we did, 2, 5, and 10+ years ago. Just because the quality of the content has improved, doesn't mean - we have advanced forward.

Free porn STILL drives us, it STILL can produce godly amounts of sales. The thing is 90% of you are trying to sell people, on methods PROVEN not to work anymore. It's why TV, Magazine, Newspapers, etc sales / ads, buying power is down.. They sell - the same way we do.

People STILL generate 100's into the 1000's of sales a day. But they aren't doing it with 10 year old marketing techniques.

Edit: One last thing.... 80's porn was published on VHS, 70's in magazines, DVD's came in, 90's Interent, mediums changed again... It's almost 2010, what do you think most people missed?

I agree that newspapers and magazines have lost (and continue to lose) sales to the internet, and it's obvious why this has happened.

Online porn, losing sales because of online porn, is a completely different reality, and has happened almost entirely from within.
