ugh. I tried to watch season 1 episode 5 twice and had to stop it both times because it was so boring I couldn't stop surfing the web and realized I was not paying attention at all. I will try it one more time today. If it cant hold my attention long enough to set up the plot then I guess I'll have to give up and move on.

they are trying to be more character story driven, less bang pow boom, and the cmera shooting styles (Inlcuding the exterior ship shots) are totally like the raw camera zooms from battlestar gallactica but still it's not a bad show....SO FAR.

yeah they had a couple of chances to do a ST:V joke and they passed it up
in stargate they always made the jokes (oneal wanting to name the first ship enterprise, red shirts comments)

So far I like SGU. I think it will only get better.

As a self confessed Si Fi nut i tend to watch most Si Fi programs. I loved SG1 and SGU is starting off slowly, but it takes to to get into a new series.

Just started to watch it,so far it was toomuch soap and toomuch sex scenes but last two episodes was finally more scfi

i watched the first season, started the 2nd, and then it wasn't sci fi anymore, so i stopped.

what a waste of a good idea.

I am currently watching Atlantis Season5 on Netflix. Will probably be on SGU by tomorrow.

SGU became more interesting since the last 2 episodes of season 2. It's just different than SG1 and SGA, with also some great actors as Robert Carlyle :pimp

Tonight is the final episode of Stargate Universe. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get into this show.

yeah :( oh well some of the episodes sucked ass.

They tried to hard to give you more information about the characters then the sci-fi story line. But the end os S2 they are starting to get a good story line going but just when it gets good you have these stupid "back to earth" episodes.

Battlestar galactica (remake) was a pretty nice success for sci-fi so they wanted to do a similar space-drama.. I think this is the point where it failed

Yep bad news 2nd season have just started here, never watched much SG-1, watched every episode of SG Atlantis and SG Universe have had its up and downs.
I read the 2nd season finale is leaving things open but there are no plans for movies or another network to continue the series.

Ya I dont follow showbiz news so wasn't aware. I am a big Stargate fan from the first movie, to the many series ect ect...

I see there was a plan for a movie for SGU to tie things up, but they took to long for production and that was canned as well.

I watch every episode and I would keep watching if they keep making them. Well SyFy is going to start the new season of warehouse 13, Eureka and the new show Alphas in July.
