Found $10 in some woods near the house as a kid. Went bowling with it.

Paid with a $10 once at a mcdonalds drive thru when I was in my 20's and ate such things, change I got back contained a $20. Didnt notice til after lunch or I'da given it back.

thanks to all USD bills nearly looking the same i think i once gave $100 as tip instead of $1 - at least i never found the $100 bill again.

and if you consider it losing money when you're drunk and spend too much at the strip club... well... :-/

most that ever fell out of my pocket was about $60. I had gotten change from a bar a while ago and put it in my pocket from a $100 bill and went to grab my phone and must of pulled the money out too.

ive only found small amounts, but when we were kids my brother found $300 in Target. my parents made him turn it into the lost and found (which i cursed them for) but a few weeks later we got a call from the store manager saying no one claimed it and my brother and i got a shopping spree

my friend worked at a car rental place and told me that he once found over $10k in an envelope when someone returned the car. he said he was going to keep it until he went through the envelope to find it was paying for doctor bills. the guy called a few hours later asking if he left an envelope under the seat and he said he found it. the guy came in and gave him $1,000 for it.

but ive lost a ton with lending money to friends and family... bad idea... really bad

I remember one time thinking I had lost about 300 bucks at a club only to find out later during the week that, drunk, I had paid for a group of friends to get in.

Found:
Rescued a fifty dollar bill in the middle of the street while riding in a taxi. Actually the driver spotted it, and couldn't jump out because he was driving. The lights were on red so I jumped out (at his suggestion) and grabbed the bill then had it in my hand and said to to the driver "so we're going to split this right?" and given that possession is 9/10th's of the law he reluctantly agreed to share it. Got my fare for free basically.

Lost:
$12,000
To this day Proadult still hasn't paid its bills to me for 6 months of plug-in feeds services dating back 3-4 years.
Fucking Assholes!!!

I found $20 a few months ago. Lost $100 at a gas station in Miami about 10 years ago.

Most lost 20-50euro.

22 years ago when i was 16 i went on holiday to Spain without my parents for the first time, i found a wallet on top of my locker with Hfl. 600 in it (about 250euros) the first day. Mind you that this is a long time ago, the entire 10 day trip was 200 i think. I was happy as hell and we (my friend andi) kept it. We had just a little more fun, took some poor guy out to dinner and afterwards wondered how we could have managed without the extra money. We did feel guilty the entire time though, even now i feel sorry for the kid who also saved to go there maybe for the first time. Entire different experience for the both of us, he might be telling the same story from his point of view elsewhere to this day:/

When I was in grade 9 or 10 I found a wallet with about $380 in it.. I returned it. My friends were quite upset with me lol..

Basic_man 10-28-2009 03:58 PM

One of my customer had a 10 000$ direct bank deposit. They waited 2 months, asked the bank staff how to track it, and nobody never requested it! That's a once in a lifetime crazy story!! :)

I lost 5,100 cash... 51 one-hundred-dollar bills...

tormented me for a long time... wasn't so much the money...as just the stupidity of losing it.

JD 10-28-2009 06:56 PM

found 700 with a rubberband holding it together in a Halloween store once probably 10 years ago. I lost 50 bucks when I was 14 trying to hide my wallet in a wall crack before getting on a waterslide... fucking thing slipped way back and the shit's probably still there lol

I think I found a buck once.

After Shock Media 10-29-2009 11:47 AM

Found 140 bucks in the DMV under the chest high walk up counter just laying on the floor. If I was not in my chair I would not of spotted it, there was tons of people in there too. I just waited until it was my turn in line, dropped my keys on it and picked it all up. Was really expecting a sting or some hidden cameras to pop out 20/20 style.

Got popped between Concord and San Francisco and I was going to fight the ticket. I had to show up at the Oakland courthouse. I arrived pretty early and had grabbed a dirty water dog and a drink for lunch. Wheeled over to this bush area to eat. Finished eating and was collecting my trash, noticed another brown bag and was going to put it all into the bag - plus I hate liter. Anyways the bag had a fat roll of a bit more than 3k in it and about 15 or more tiny ass foil packets. I freaked, took the bag to the trash and held the money as I dropped the whole thing into the trash. Kept looking around for some gangbanger or something. Did not feel safe until I was done with court and on way home. Even in court I kept checking people out wondering who it belonged too.

We were ocean fishing in the bay for a shark derby. I had one of those lame yet very popular velcro trifold wallets. It was full of cash (around 600 bucks) plus about 3-4 bucks in change. The money was for latter on during the trip/vacation. The damn change was leftover from getting vending food to bring on board. I leaned over a bit during a wave and it fell out of my pocket overboard. I just saw it float for about 10 seconds out of reach and then sink as we drifted away - screaming.
