Microsoft literally gave up money for the sake of doing what is right.
Its rare and I say good for Microsoft. |
Fucking great job MS! :thumbsup
When the dust settles, I'm 100% sure they'll be making more money than ever with their live service. |
Surely someone on Craigslist already is advertising
XBOX 360 UNMODDING :1orglaugh :1orglaugh :1orglaugh:1orglaugh Big B |
The people who steal games are usually little shitheads. I've heard them talking many, many times about their modded consoles. They almost always talk like wiggers and then get shitty with you during games. It's better to not have those people fucking up my limited gaming time. Good riddance.

And again "They should be pirated because they deserve it" So basically since YOU think that their software is shit it should pirated ? Or based on your judgment their customer care makes it right to pirate them ? It's like saying: I don't like BBW / FAT porn, so they fat hoes should be pirated, they are not worth the value people is paying for it, what a ripoff! I'm pretty satisfied with my MS products, they may not be perfect but they beat the competitors at this moment (Mac, Linux/Unix) with the usability and programs available that suit my needs. So I'll continue using it and I'll continue to pump money into the pockets of MS. :upsidedow Ohh and I migratede just perfect from Windows 2000 to XP to Vista to XP to Vista 64 bit to Windows 7 to Windows 7 without loosing data so have no clue what you are talking about. With your "and you all know you have lost important data, that they don't give a shit about" Have a nice weekend anyway, I'm out to shop for a new MS based laptop :thumbsup |

How lame.. pretending as if MS products aren't piles of crap, that millions people weren't forced to upgraded from perfect systems, to a buggy, to broken vista, to windows 7... need a super computer now too, MS can suck balls. They fuck people over ever day.. they screw other companies over. Acting like MS is the damn church or something.. not fucking you over, so who cares right? You're paying for broken, buggy, hackable, virus ridden, hole, trashed software... over and over and over... I purchased 2000 which is the best of them and XP, which is in the trash... I'm not giving them anymore money for this scam. Now to force you to pay, they won't upgrade win2k or XP anymore, so all the security holes will eat people alive, forcing them to spend money, yet once again. So yeah... I have no problem fucking someone over, company or not, that already fucked me over, several several several times.... Just like every other person reading this, including you. But they aren't screwing me anymore, I have already started to make the full switch to Ubuntu, and I'm not looking back. It kicks Windows ass. |

making or losing, right? $16B in revenue against $18B in expenses means you lost $2 billion. $16B in revenue against $12B expenses would mean you made $4B. There's a big difference. Of course, either way that's the total earnings of all stockholders combined. Each stockholder made something like 40 cents on their investment. I guess that increases my mom's retirement account enough that she can buy one serving of ramen noodles. Since you want to look at the second quarter of 2009, Microsoft also had to lay off 5,000 people in those three months. How many of those people could have kept their jobs if it weren't for thieving bastards who refuse to pay for their work? Anyone who has read any of my posts knows I'm no fan of Microsoft. I haven't used any of their products in over ten years. I don't buy Microsoft products because I much prefer reliable, secure systems, and because Microsoft is basically evil, but I don't steal from them because I'm not evil. |

Either way, I still find what MS did to be stupid business wise. It's millions in lost revenue. Not just in the monthly subscriptions but in the future purchases of live games, and it's a million more people talking trash about you. Why not take the $80+ million a year the pirates made and invest it in better security, like many online games use. Then tell them to go stick it. If they wanted to stop 99% of the piracy... they could, just like adult could. |
thumbs up to microsoft !

People who are cheap - Get the message, they won't fuck around and try to modify their consoles in order to play burned games. People who love the games but got banned - Got the message and will likely buy a legit copy People who are infuriated - Deserve it, fuck them, they aren't entitled to anything |

i've got a sony 65" wega tele, it crapped out due to a design flaw and it took a class-action lawsuit against sony to get them to fix all our teles.
i've got a sony vaio laptop i paid ~$3500 for that crapped out prematurely as well, the screen, the battery, the touchpad and keyboard all went kaput. |

Not all games can be cracked and played online... that's crazy talk to think they can't protect something you have to log into. Hardcore gamers crack games, not broke bitch kids that borrow money from mom. People didn't go out and purchase a $200-$400 console, just to pay $7 a month + fees, to only play... one cracked game.. No no, these are people spending $1000's on games, they are valuable clients and customers... Btw... this is a GREAT example of how Piracy makes money.. that pirates, spend money. This piracy was making them $84m a year. The only needed like 6 months of rebills to earn the money back from the game. Or they could have increased the monthly rates on those people just by a few dollars would have banked them far more. The only reason you people don't see this is because you're blinded by piracy in our Industry. 3 years ago 99% of you would be singing a different song. I remember the 'pirated windows' thread... |

Warranty didn't cover that laptop? If they did ya wrong don't buy Sony again. We aren't forced to buy broken Sony computers and then forced to pay for another upgraded to to another broken Sony Computer, year after year. Basically you purchased the same basic computer everyone else is selling but it has a Sony tag on it. I don't trust branded computers... had far too many issues with various brands, so I started building my own, even my laptops. I recommend going that direction, saves ya a ton of money and issues. |

anyhoo, i guess my point is that there are other ways to seek restitution for problematic products other than advocating and condoning privacy against them. not calling you a bad guy or anything, i've put some thought into your perspective and tried to understand it based on my own experiences is all. |

The ones who were playing modded systems are probably people you don't want to be playing with anyway. |
Wow... and now eBay is getting flooded with all these banned consoles... buyer fucking beware.
|
People that got banned will go out and buy a new console and get a new xbox account. It's there life they can't just turn away from it.
|
That's only the stupid folks who mod their boxes and played leaked copies of the games that came out 2 weeks before the launch date. The smart ones are playing online with you right this very moment.
