Mass Traffic with Free Porn = Top Dollar Ad Space For Sale = Cheap Bandwidth = Profit + Attention = More profit.

I made 3 grand a day on affiliate sales with 1.2 million uniques during most of this decade on my tgps. I also sold 5 text link spots on the main page for 6 grand each per month.

So yeah, I suppose they could ASK for that much. Don't know if there would be much real ROI for a paysite to advertise there though. And not sure how long a dating or cam site could see ROI off it either. Seems like after a month or so everybody that's gonna get a free membership at a dating or cam site would have done so already.

stats are impressive.

as they control more and more of the adult traffic they will also have leverage over advertisers.

just think wallmart of online porn...

People don't realize the massive scope of Brazzers operation. IMO, they're currently the largest adult company in the world. Bigger than Playboy and bigger than Hustler.

Arnox 12-01-2009 07:46 PM

I don't know how any of the processors work. I'm assumeing CCBill/Epoch take a small % of whatever sales you make? Maybe 1-2%? If you consider how many porn companies there are who own such 0.xxx% of the market and pay 2-3% on all the sales they make. Those processors rake in a shitload as they don't have any bandwidth bills or models to pay.

Someone educate me, how do processors make their money?

jigg 12-01-2009 07:47 PM

wonder what the conversion rates are for the traffic, can't be better than 1:1000s

They are definitely the biggest. Pornhub directly feeds their paysites and of course is promotion gold for their dvds. I'm sure at AEE this year they will once again have the most crowded booth with fans lined up to get autographs from all the models they have working the show for them.

They employ a ton of people too unlike most of these other one or two man operations...

The 2 biggest adult processors charge around 15% of each transaction and go down a bit with volume.

Out of curiosity, has anyone ever advertised with them?

It's so hard for me to believe that people are still paying that after all these years.

12.5 to 15% costs.

Not everyone can get over that hump to get merchant processing of their own. CCbill and Epochs bread and butter are mom and pop operations.

Good question. I never have. I know when they skinned the board they were giving away $100 a free traffic to anyone that wanted it. There were a few people in that thread that said they tried it and got nothing out of it. But I don't know if that is accurate or not, just what they posted.

A lot of people may live in countries where merchant processing is next to impossible to obtain.

But the good news is that there is mounting competitive pressure on processors to get their rates more in tune to 2009 than the 1999 rates they still charge.

Here's a glimpse into PornHub.com's statistics according to what's publicly available to us.

I broke it down for you, based on stats RIGHT NOW.

Code:

                    PornHub.com's Daily Adspot Revenue.

Adspot Name            | Avg. CTR | Avg. CPM | Avg Daily Impressions | Revenue
================================================================================
Pornhub.com Footer      |  0.041  |  $0.134  |      53,264,886      |$7,137.49
Pornhub.com Video A    |  0.578  |  $0.425  |      15,652,534      |$6,652.33
Pornhub.com Video B    |  0.540  |  $0.371  |      17,381,209      |$6,448.43
Pornhub footersquares  |  0.118  |  $0.037  |    172,065,184      |$6,366.41

Mobile Pornhub Footer  |  0.281  |  $0.098  |      1,932,779      |  $189.41
================================================================================
                                                Total Daily Revenue: $31,100.11

That's not counting other sites they own... Better hit up Konrad right now and get your hands on a copy of his script and fire up those illegal tubes, because mother fuckers, they be ballin hardcore.

I wouldn't believe and of this bullshit trafficjunky is dishing, like most people that sell overpriced tube spots, they are inflating their numbers.

Honestly, I don't see anyone advertising on there that isn't somehow involved in Mansef. So, there numbers mean nothing. PornHub is all about slinging the premium membership and not about ad revenue.

I know a few people that have bought ads and didn't renew.

Nothing to see here.

:2 cents:

Not saying there isn't a way to make it work but as it stands now its a failing biz model.

Only a matter of time.

WiredGuy 12-02-2009 01:22 AM

Are these actual sales or simply their posted CPM rates multiplied by their inventory?

Just the spots they sell, I would be interested to see actual conversion rates for paysites, rather than prepaid ad spots by dating sites, and whatever else that keeps them a float

strobi 12-02-2009 06:22 AM

0.42$ CPM on a tube site? That's pretty impressive!

of course if it's real

sexuallyhealed 12-29-2009 03:35 AM

no money in porn

jimmycastor 12-29-2009 03:57 AM

those numbers are BS, everyone who has experience managing an inventory of lets say 10-20mio impressions/day on premium countries traffic will agree that those ctr and cpms are too good to be true.

digitaldivas 12-29-2009 04:01 AM
