i train with a pro fighter and i once made the mistake of asking him to go full out one saturday..

i had head gear on (he did not) and i walked with a limp (from leg kicks) and my head hurt for a week..

anything can happen in a fight, but 99 out of 100 times even am amateur wont stand a chance against a professional fighter let alone a street tough guy... :2 cents:

True, that a pro trained fighter could kick the ass of a bunch of most likely drunken porn dicks, but they weren't there to fight. They were there to socialize, and when they stood up to a guy allegedly assaulting an industry girl, they tried to calm the guy down.

Most martial arts I am familiar with, ensure that their fighters understand the consequences of engaging, let alone initiating a street fight. In some instances, they can be charged with using a deadly weapon simply by using their hands/feet.

As I understand it, Alec Knight was caught in the crossfire. Anyone that knows Alec understands that he is fun loving, gregarious and gentle person. I shudder to think that he could just as easily have died from crashing headfirst into the pavement.

So Dave and I got in a fight once...... in UFC 09 and the bastard fucking beat me at my own game. a baseball bat to the head of a trained fighter is not really going to hurt him.. ive read report after report that a good fighter and really good muay thai kicker can swing his already hardened shin into your head much harder than any pro MLB baseball player can swing a bat... so on the flipside a true fighter can take one of those kicks... which means a swing from a bat will prolly just piss him off....

Fights seems to be his first love :)

185 isn't small and weight and size don't mean much when you are talking about a pro fighter vs your average Joe. I had an instructor that was only about 5'4 or shorter and the guy easily took out 5 guys that jumped him.
