It took me a while to get the concept til I actually saw it being worked. Then I couldnt believe what an industry changer this could be. My thoughts are the people who get upset with this are the people ruining the industry. It will be like a burgler complaining about security systems.

i love the reviews but I find myself dying for a rating system so I know which ones to watch as i don't want to watch them all.....

Problem with ratings is...if you were a guy who checked out a porn site and decided to see the review on it, and the person reviewing the site gave their OPINION of it and gave it a certain score...then that score (rating) could negatively impact whether the potential customer joins or not. Even though the site might be perfect for them.

I had a post a little while back that had to do with a guy who was a former member of CM's site. He loved the site and had been gone for a few months and was coming back to re-join. But then he read the rabbits review of CM's site and wrote me worried that the site had changed! lol

I had to tell him that it was still the same only with MORE updates.

I found it incredulous that an affiliate would actually be HURTING my sales instead of doing their job and making sales for me.

Long story short, I calmed the guy down and he's a member today. Matter of fact he was one of the members enjoying our live webcast every wed.

That's the problem I have with review sites. They spend too much time on b.s. and not enough on what the site is REALLY about. For me, it's fans of Claudia-Marie that come to us. Believe me, I know EXACTLY what they want as I do everything for the site including support. I correspond with the members every day.

So when a review site comes along and posts up generic "scores" and "ratings" that have NOTHING to do with the experience that we are trying to create it does nothing but hurt sales.

Last I checked affiliates are supposed to MAKE sales based on marketing skills. Not drive them away through poor salesmanship.

That's why I like the concept of livereviews.com

Simply show the surfer what's there behind the members area. Let them make up their own mind. No need for an "opinion" of somebody who goes down his reviewers checklist for every site.

Not all people want to see a Brazzers members area.

For instance, here in Vegas the BEST steak in town is at a little place called The Ranch House. Yeah, I could go on the strip to a famous "name" restraunt and pay 20 times more in an elegant expensive building with waiters dressed in tuxedos...but bottom line is: The Ranch House steak tastes better.

That's the simple truth that review sites always miss. They are so busy "reviewing" the silverware, the tables, the floor, and the waiters...that they never really talk about the damn food!

livereviews lets the potential customer taste it for themselves and make up their own minds. :thumbsup

but as a surfer looking at the reviews I would still want some way of knowing which reviews to watch and not spend 600 million hours watching them all.......

it might be just me and I know fuck all about review sites - but i'm just saying what i feel when i go into the site as a surfer is all.... i don't want to have to watch all 50 videos to find the best site in a category - i want to watch 2-3 in a category and know they reviewed 50 and pick from what they say is the best.....

That would be a surfer who doesn't really have a specific site in mind. He's just window shopping. He might buy a membership, or he might not.

You're right. I don't think this review site is optimal for selling to that guy.

I think it's going to get some of them sold a membership for sure, but I think it's gonna find GOLD in a more targeted consumer who already knows what he wants and just wants to verify it before he makes his final decision.

Those careful buyers are pure gold. And once they join they are loyal and stay a loooonnnnggg time. Whereas I have always noticed that the few sales I've gotten from rabbits for the most part don't stay. They tend to join and then cancel immediately so they don't rebill in the majority of cases.

The wary buyer will avoid that site once they see the video telling them they have to buy into another site. We have to remember the buyer is not some newbie who has just got connected. It would be nice to know how they pay $100 on a sign up someone somewhere is getting ripped.

Another idea came to me that would make this site tops. Sign up under an affiliate code not linked to the site and report the payment. With NATS type programs it will just show as a lot of them have a minimum per program, at least it will show in the stats.

Another thing is to tell the surfer somehow on the review about spam and dodgy billing practices, this can be done be a simple link to a report.

I love the site and the idea and the execution is flawless. Now I have not read every single thread so forgive me if it was said already but I think it would be great to have the female talent conduct the reviews instead of the males that are currently doing it.

take a look at photoshopusertv.com you could have the girls stay on the set and show the process on the monitor that you show the previews on. Just and idea. I can imagine that it would skyrocket the already high production costs but I think if you could get the female voice in there it would help.

Another cool idea would be to have some solo models who are actually featured on the site say something like "Hey if you think I am sexy, come take a look at the full review of my site....if you like what you see please join" etc.

I know this is not as biased but I wonder if you could only allow the ones to do a preview of their review after they have passed a certain quality test or something.

Everybody gets reviewed!! The good, the bad, the ugly, the crooks and the liars. All of them!!! Everything we find will get posted. Including all fraudulent charges done to our cards. Will be very easy to spot, because we use one card and one Email address per site, not per network.



If we review a 10 sites from one network, we will be using 10 cards and 10 different Emails. We have the money, the resources, the knowledge and the experience to make this project successful. We are in Beta right now, stay tuned to see what happens the 1st of the year.:thumbsup

I would think it would be a trivial matter for review site script writers to add a quick video spot that any review site webmaster could put up a quick video with screenshots and a voice over, the surfers won't care how much is in the video, it would be quite easy to make a site that to the surfer would seem pretty much the same, without needing to spend all kinds of money.... a quick mod to a review site script could allow the webmaster to quickly add a video inline with their already existing text based review site, so this idea is unlikely to stay unique, and especially will not be unique in the eyes of the surfer population (you wouldn't even need to use a credit card to sign in to all of your reviewed sites, having a reviewer pass would give you plenty to be able to do screencaps in a narrated video form for next to no cost, just maybe a half hours time to put it together) :2 cents:

Online video reviews are not unique or anything new (look at just about anything on youtube). You don't see it very much in adult because of all the criticisms that were listed here in this 1,000 page thread.

I think it's a cool site but honestly, I prefer a text-based (though maybe interactive) review site. I doubt most review site surfers read 100% of the review, and it's much easier to skim a text review than it is to skim a video. I watched one of the live reviews and with the exception of the hot chick in the beginning, it was fucking boring.

As a surfer, I personally wouldn't choose to get porn site information this way. There's ways they could improve this but I'll leave it at that. I'm sure several review site owners (me included) have tinkered with the idea but at the end of the day, it just didn't seem that appealing. Maybe I'm wrong, we'll see. In either event, it is an impressive review site because they clearly put a lot of work and thought into it.
