Read http://nodaddy.com/

I moved all my domains from godaddy to moniker.
Godaddys control panel sucks hard. It makes my eyes bleed. Who the hell needs some AJAX bullshit to manage domains????

I am moving some of my domains from godaddy to namecheap soon, once they are about to expire.

I just don't want to have all my eggs in one basket.
Also going to buy some gambling/poker domains soon but on UK registrars.

My transfer from godaddy to name.com is complete! The only problem was I got rejected the first time for not turning off whois protection.

Pretty much all my domains are moved away from Go Daddy now.

Not been happy with their service for a while and they are too expensive by comparison.

Getting domains out of Go Daddy can be a pain at times. Having to request the code multiple times sucks.

You know, I really hate when people make vague fucking comments. "I would never use Godaddy" blah blah, "I've been hearing bad stuff". If you're going to open your fat fucking mouth give us a reason / explanation.

I moved all my domains over to moniker as soon as that happened... Never looked back.

I always get regular mails regarding when domains are expiring, plus if "I let one go" they even give (or at least gave me) a "grace period" to reconsider, then they hold it for awhile but might charge more $$$ to get it back...

Weird you haven't got any mail whatsoever :error

In 3 years of using Moniker I've only had to contact support once and had a timely response regarding a question I had about the moniker API. I've moved, transferred and sold hundreds of domains and never had an issue with them that needed contacting support.

I also never needed to contact godaddy during the time I used them, but their POS control panel makes me cry. Moniker's control panel is simple and to the point. I dont need any ajax BS to manage my domains thankyouverymuch. With godaddy, buying a domain is an adventure in to ajaxland. It's pretty annoying.

Fyodor's issues ( http://nodaddy.com/mystory.html ) with godaddy were enough for me to move all my domains. I was a subscriber to Seclists.org at that time and saw the whole thing go down. I just don't feel like owning a bunch of adult names and have them deactivated because someone complains to GD or buying whois privacy and have my identity be revealed at the first threatening email to them. ( http://news.cnet.com/Private-domains...3-5833663.html )

I know it's starting to sound like I work for Moniker, but I really dont, I'm just a happy customer, so far. I'm not saying its gonna last forever but so far so good.

Thanks for all the shout outs/comments/feedback. Yes it is true Moniker did have some downtime last week however the issue was fixed/resolved ASAP. No registrar is perfect?not even Go Daddy.

ClickHappy ? Moniker is currently running a .com transfer and renewal promo through the end of the month. If you or anyone has any questions please feel free to hit me up directly via email/ICQ as I don?t always get a chance to jump back onto the board!

Thanks!

Happy Holidays :winkwink:

I don't trust GoDaddy either.

When I tried to move all my domains from DomainNameSystems, that asshole of an owner Gord made it a living hell for me. I went with Namecheap, and their support was just awesome at helping me get my names transferred. They've always been there when I've needed them.

You can use Moniker's END years special for .COM transfers

Moniker got special discounts until 31.12., .COM for 7.35$ (1 year regfee included) so you don't overpay nothing and you got your domains at safer place:
