I just wish I could work more.

I am tired, but I just hired a guy for a few hours per day, and he seems to be very helpful. Learning fast, doing all the monkey work, for cheap. He is helping me out only since a week ago, and he has to learn a lot things [new to adult] but I have a very good feeling about this situation. :)

if you work more then 5 hours a day you are doing it wrong.

There just aren't enough hours in the day when I'm really in the mode. When I'm firing on all cylinders I try to take advantage of that.

Sucks when the motivation isn't there and you are putting in the same hours yet the production is just half.

I'm just glad it's the holidays and that will make me just take time off to handle other things like fun and time away from the monitor. Then I'll be ready to come back and hit things hard again.

Don't you take time to examine the porn you're putting on your site? Writing titles, descriptions, making thumbs, etc to make sure the content is good, and makes your surfers wanna buy?

i do designs only. on demand. i charge 4 times less then the top notch ones, go from there.

the whole idea behind the internets bis used to be workign half a day within a week and then living like a full time working brotha for the rest of the month. If i had no family i would still be able to do it.

I have no problem making money, but I find it funny that a designer thinks he can make the best site in the world and be raking in cash by the end of the week, just to find out they will fail hardcore and end up back to strictly designing again... :1orglaugh:1orglaugh

Its funny I really used to think all that stuff mattered. In reality I have found that you MIGHT increase conversions by 5% but you never will clone yourself so I find it better just to hire more and put out average stuff.

Not yet. It's a lot easier when you are working towards something. If you were just working 13 to work 13... that would be tough.

If you do all the work yourself yes you will work that much and in the end is the best you can do.

Those hiring other webmasters because they are lazy to do the hard job, always end bad. Those webmasters they hire finish learning everything, and then do their own biz and increase serious competition. It's obvious that is going to happen in the end, but some people are so "naive" that they can't see that coming.

It just is not healthy to work that much in front of a computer. We are all old now days and when you combine that with the drinking, smoking and partying you are not looking at a very long life..

I never work that many hours, and for the most part not weekends either.
There is no need to work that much for anyone if you structure your days properly!

When I get on a roll with something I can gladly sit in front of the monitor for 18 hour days for days on end. I get that way when I startup new projects that excite me, or I feel have a lot of potential.

I don't really overwork myself too hard anymore. Fuck it. A few hours of actual work a day at most keeps me reasonably comfy and thats all that matters to me. I don't need to be ballin' ass rich, I need to be comfortable.

Something tells me you are ready to retire. Find a new nitch Jay. Open a club or a bar. Once you retire you will be bored out of your mind. That is why I have 20 other business but run them all out of this one, my primary one.

Change is good, you are just getting burned out by all the Tube Sites and lack of sales for the amount of hours you put in.
