The actors are driving the CG performance almost 100%. Zoe Saldana did an amazing job, and brought that character to life.

It's a shame that many people will not understand that and think that it was done like " Finding Nemo " doing a great disservice to all those that worked incredibly hard to bring this project to fruition.
In the youtube clip I posted earlier in this thread Zoe explains the process and all the things she had to do to prepare for the part. She said she had to be trained on how to ride a horse because in the movie she has to ride some flying animal and she needed to be able to move realistically because her movements are being captured. That means on a movie set she was filmed getting on some apparatus and riding it which would later be changed by computer to the animal seen in the movie.
She also talks about having to learn the language in the movie. The reason she needed to know the actual meaning of the words is so she could properly emote them with her face and body language because she is being filmed while delivering the lines and those movements must also appear in the final version.
It's just a lot of really hard work that unfortunately will go over the heads of those that don't know better and those involved won't get all the credit they deserve. I suppose in a certain way that's a testament to just how well a job James Cameron did with his vision and I'd bet he would prefer it that way as opposed to everyone figuring it out and being too obvious.
