If they are gonna impose a rule like this only to international inbound flights? Kinda makes no sense if you do it do it for all flights even though its gonna make security lines and everything crazy :helpme |
the no moving from your seat 1 hr before the flight lands I heard was only being implemented by Air Canda...it was not a TSA rule.
I think alot of airlines will end up with their own rules until their is one uniform set of guidelines from the crappy TSA. |
FWIW I flew out the day before the "attempted bombing" from PHX to Burbank, it took me the time it actually takes to walk from the beginning of the line through the scanners and put my shoes on (about 5 minutes).
The day after it took me about twice as long (10 minutes) because they grabbed my bag to check my video camera. There were no signs saying to remove it so I didn't since I had it wrapped in a sweater. All they did was turn it on while I was putting my shoes back on to make sure it was a functioning camera. I got to the airport 2 hours early and spent 1 hour and 50 minutes waiting around. I'm sure international flights will be beefed up but it is a minor inconvenience for "safety." I'd rather go through all the bullshit and know I have a better chance of getting to my destination in one piece than not knowing if I'll make it all. Then again I only fly twice a year, and it's about a 70 minute flight so I don't really care. If shit gets stupid I'll just drive. |
