Correct.

If someone is willing to trade their life for yours, they have already won. They will go the distance, and there is more than enough chances to get you. There is not amount of security or feel good steps that is going to stop them, nor find them all before they get on a plane.

If it's your time to go, sit back relax and enjoy.

:thumbsup

I have a friend that works on the West Bank for UN and he gets shit every time he passes in or out of Israel, they always try to give him a low number so he will get the big check but they are not allowed to do it so every time he has to tell them that they are not allowed and after that he gets a 5 which means he can pass through with no problems.

I am hoping this is an International thing. goodgirl flies out in a couple weeks and I was planning on flying back with her. I was going to wait to see how much of a hassle it is for her before booking my flight, but if you report back, that will suffice.

BTW, noticed you had IN as one of your locations. What part?

This article says its international flights.

If they are gonna impose a rule like this only to international inbound flights? Kinda makes no sense if you do it do it for all flights even though its gonna make security lines and everything crazy :helpme

the no moving from your seat 1 hr before the flight lands I heard was only being implemented by Air Canda...it was not a TSA rule.

I think alot of airlines will end up with their own rules until their is one uniform set of guidelines from the crappy TSA.

FWIW I flew out the day before the "attempted bombing" from PHX to Burbank, it took me the time it actually takes to walk from the beginning of the line through the scanners and put my shoes on (about 5 minutes).

The day after it took me about twice as long (10 minutes) because they grabbed my bag to check my video camera. There were no signs saying to remove it so I didn't since I had it wrapped in a sweater. All they did was turn it on while I was putting my shoes back on to make sure it was a functioning camera. I got to the airport 2 hours early and spent 1 hour and 50 minutes waiting around.

I'm sure international flights will be beefed up but it is a minor inconvenience for "safety." I'd rather go through all the bullshit and know I have a better chance of getting to my destination in one piece than not knowing if I'll make it all.

Then again I only fly twice a year, and it's about a 70 minute flight so I don't really care. If shit gets stupid I'll just drive.
