Mid 1990's. Gave many programs their first real links and traffic on ampland.com
Always been an affiliate first and foremost and still am. |
I am old, old school porn. I started in New Jersey in 1991, the VHS days, right out of college working for what is now the biggest off-line porn distributorship in the country. Directed my first movies including the hit series "Strap-On Sally" in '93. I used to work in the office all week and shoot two movies once a month mostly in the NY & NJ area, and sometimes in LA. And then I started traveling all over the East Coast and Canada filming pro-am porn like the "East Coast Sluts" and "Canadian Beaver Hunt" series in the mid to late 90's. I became in independent producer in 1998, and started filming some more DVD series soon thereafter. By the time I joined GFY in 2002, I got more into filming custom & exclusive content for several of the top programs in adult internet, which I continue to do to this day.

I think Ed Kinsley (sp) and Carolyn....crap, I'm getting old and can't remember her name - were the first people I worked with on Internet Porn who had an actual website. Back in 94 maybe? Possibly 95. Jack Lawless and Ron Levi were around then too.

Started sometime in late 1999...boy have things changed. I used to submit galleries 10 hours per week and made so much fucking money that I didn't know how to spend it
Click Thru Calvin lol |
Guy I met in the game Ultima Online introduced it to me in early 98. Didn't get serious till 2000 and my main sponsor was ARS.

I can't quite remember how that looked but I know it was really basic and slow and I think kind of a green. Only a couple progs used it. That must of been developed in 1996 or so. |
I am semi-old school. Used to help girls get setup on ifriends and charge them a webmaster fee monthly for it. Also made sites on the AVS's back in 1999 - 2000.
|
Amateur Pages.. did someone mention them. I think that was them. Or was that Lensmen prog? hehe it is all slowly slipping away. :) Anyhow, they may have used ctc at the beginning then changed.
You put their pics on your site and got paid per unique. They went on a long time. A bit into the 2000's. Prob died in 2001 as did a lot of stuff. Actually I think Amateur Pages was Lensmens. This was another similiar program or such. Pixotna or something real rare like that. There were a few of those click thru pic progs that used ctc. |
I got into the adult side of things in 96-97 pushing per click programs like intergral? and xpics. Later it was with click thru calvin? Before that I was pushing casino programs. it was easy money back in the days.

What is old school? Just veteran?
|
1998, my first site was fivelittlepiggy.com, which is now beautifulfeetonline.com, or at least my archive content is. I also ran a TGP in 1999 pornfuck.com, and about 4 others. Digialdivasonline.com and that network was born from the carcasses of those sites. Made a fair amount of money with adultcheck too. I hosted fetish parties in denver and los angeles from 1999-2005 till I got shut down :(

In 1996 I started my first company, Internet Unlimited ... selling adult websites ... which were video conference sites offering downloadable software surfers could use and talk to "cam models' point to point on 14.4 modems. The company i got the software from originally was Virtual Dreams ... then ITN which later became iGallery. I was selling the websites for $3500-$7500 each (getting them built for $350) - receiving $2 per minute and paying $1 per minute to the site owners.
In 1998 I bought pstars.com for $1200 ... just found it using the wayback machine http://web.archive.org/web/199812031...om/index2.html I was only getting about 3500 visitors per day and making 3500-5K+ per month easy. LOL |

This gives me an idea. I should just go back to an archived site for a lot of my domains and just throw it out there. Google might like me. I return to my orig design circa 1998-1999. LOL Can you imagine the surfers today. Just change the banners (which is all mine were) to modern sponsors. WTF is this they're thinking. :) Actually I am going to bring back a couple like that. WTF why not. I'll show everyone it is still possible to be successful selling to Joe Surfer with HTML 1.0 skills. :) Fuck word press! lol |
lots of oldskool hustlers here. fun to read :thumbsup
i was late to porn - 2001 - because i went into dotcoms after college. not sure whether i would have made more in porn back then lol |

Plus you have "within you" your site. It is not a script you are beholding to. But for free sites (getting bookmarkers aside) a lot of the problem isn't the links, or even graphics in old sites. It is they are designed in 600x800 at best and at this point they are of course full of dead links. It isn't the site, the links or the images but what your trying to sell. Problem with old sites (now junked) at wayback is they were selling obsolete junk or they had too much content. :) The sponsors stagnated not the campy site. At least that is my theory. |

networksolutions email to register domains NEW DOMAIN REGISTRATION blah.com
infoseek spamming altavista subdomain, free-teenpics.mydomain.com spamming yahoo.com inktomi spamming google.com 1999 spamming! cotac.com 3-4 cents per click raw, first big 15k check at age 15 I may not have liked serge, but he funded my conversion to sending hits completely to sponsors, Thank you :) I ran paysites before that, and it was a mixmash of leased feeds , , shitty customer service, and a lot of chargebacks. After recieving that first big check, it was like "fuck running paysites" EVERYTHING TO SPONSORS" and focus on traffic and traffic and only. Many people became rich from running paysites, I had lots of members but shitty overall service. Getting a $15k check straightout was the best thing , it changed my mindset into, do what you do best. Get traffic. Don't follow what other people do. [ratio not mattered cause he brokered it off to the family hehe] intergal , 30 cent raw clicks, $50 per signup , 30 per free trial, 5 cent no ratio, who knows 5000 diff programs, made big money thre. ynot message board pissing ynot message board defecation to hahahahahahaha -> ynot auction bidding for sponsor spots networksolution monpoly breaks up , 50 domain registrars pop up, domainnamesystems, diretctnic, for porn yahoochat artificial bot spamming Hey , Jen 24/F , nice to meet you! , got to go check out my profile though On and on and on. watched the whole adult industry from birth (streaming cam porn voyeurdorm) to death (tubes) exciting decade enough money to retire @ age 21 |
what seemed like a short time
1997-> 2000 Everybody who was in the industry , worked every single minute of the day, those short 3 years, felt like a decade to me, Went through hundreds of programs, ways of getting traffic. When you are in the heat of making money, god damn, time crawls to eternity when you are working every single minute of the day to capture the dream! |
I've been peddling smut since 1996 in one shape or the other, I took this on 'seriously' around 2000.
|
Started in adult working for my dad in 1989 and my first domain was from 1996.
First tgp's, paysites and ecommerce sites were from 1997 and 1998. |
Intergal (they still owe me a couple lol), ARS, Dollarmachine, Smutserver, Geocities, Terra.es, etc etc good times.
Many thanks to p-bot and call-kelly for listing my first gallery in '99. Was on a free account somewhere which got killed the next day lol |
Hey Rowie :)
I also started with Intergal and ARS. Started with my own ISP account which was blocked within 1 hour:) Also used geociries, terra.es and zfreehost. It was a freehost with NO ads and NO redirects! (haha) Think I started in 1999/// |

Of course whenever you did a search for anything on Yahoo and the others at that time it always came up porn. I guess that paved the way for Google to come in and give people the results that they were looking for. |
A friend at work showed my this "internet thing" back in 1999 and surfed on to Green Guys Link-o-rama. After that I was hooked. Canīt believe that site is still around. Exact same design too :helpme
http://www.link-o-rama.com/ Those were the days *sigh* |
Bosshawg bought me one of my very first domains back in 2000-2001 I think. I remember using Cliffs tgp submission script back then to submit galleries. ARS was probably my first sponsor
