Quality is totally subjective. Everyone has the thing they are into. Any person thinks what they like is 'quality'. If they will pay a ton of money for it and someone delivers that, wheres the problem? If a pornographer wants to shoot something more deep and themed out than the next guy, then thats great too.

Times change, styles change, quality changes. I can bitch about the music industry the same way. But at some point it depends what you are in it for. BUSINESS or ART. And for all the people maybe bitching about quality, it leaves all the more room for them to prosper if there is so much content that is 'less quality'.

You miss quality and personal preferences. Yes everyone has the thing they are into, but properly filming this "thing" is what quality is about.

If it was properly done, than it's properly dobe :) There are tons of ways to fuck up a POV shot, and most of them are indeed fucked up. If someone loves camcorder POVs does not automatically mean they'll like ANY camcorder POV scene - you need to know how to shoot that kind of stuff properly to succesfully sell to this audience.

I was in a meeting with a Hollywood Producer (very well known) he was interviewing a new videographer for a multi million dollar project (Film) -Non adult of course.
The videographer was requesting a higher quality Video camera for the job.
The producer responded... "Perhaps, but let's focus on the story that grabs the viewers attention, once your story has the viewers fullest attention, the quality of the camera is not so important anymore."

This producer said this in mind knowing that everything is shot with new SONY F35 or RED cams, so we are not going back to anything less than HD.

When you have a gripping story, your viewers will wait with anticipation for your next product.
Than means a loyal fan base, ect..

The thing about forums is you never know who anyone is. I know in amsterdam I had a few people tell me who they were on the boards and looking back I felt like a real jackass.
