He knew if the gooks ever saw the watch it'd be confiscated, taken away. The way your Dad looked at it, that watch was your birthright. He'd be damned if any slopes were gonna put their greasy yella hands on his boy's birthright. So he hid it in the one place he knew he could hide something. His ass.

Five long years, he wore this watch up his ass.

Then he died of dysentery, he gave me the watch. I hid this uncomfortable hunk of metal up my ass two years.

Twisted Dave 01-17-2010 07:01 PM

Wow ... I'd NEVER spend that kind of money on a watch ... lol But seriously dude, this sucks ass. Thieves are the lowest :(

Yes, the watch is insured. Your "pity" should be directed to Haiti, not me, lol.

Others who were with me know this is no BS. :-)

yeah, you were pretty pissed off. I hope they catch her. I had a 80g ipod, and $200 stolen once at Palms 2 years ago also, it was probably the same "girl".

Security took out a folder of tons of mugshots of girls they had. Did they show you that folder?

Anyway..Thank you for the Vodka bottle, Limo, and VIP treatment, we have to do something when I'm in San Diego! (its my hometown)

what kind of breitling?

Young 01-17-2010 08:33 PM

Some girls we hooked up with had $100 missing from their room and they thought it was the end of the world.

Couldn't imagine losing a watch like that.

LexiLexxx 01-17-2010 08:47 PM

That sucks, u should check with security....even if it means they can only keep and eye on the person in the future.

My hubby got his ticket stolen at the half bar, they held the guy who cashed it in...drunk old man, not the same guy who stole it. We spent most of the late/early night in the Palms basement...what a set up! They take it very serious!!! This was a little over 200.00, I could even see the guy in the holding cell. It was some kind of scam that might have cost the drunk old man his job at another casino.

You know, I know I get teased about this alot, but I never let housekeeping in my room unless I'm there. I keep the DND on the whole time and unless I need towels or TP I spend my visits housekeeping free.

I got teased about it at Webmaster Access West a few years ago and so I let them in and they broke an $80 bottle of parfume. Sure, not as bad as a $35k watch, but enough to reaffirm why it's just not a good idea. I mean, what do they really need to "clean" anyway. Most of the time they don't even change your sheets, they just make the bed, fluff your pillow and clean the glasses in the room with some windex and toilet paper :1orglaugh

I agree with you. I see no reason why someone else that you don't know should be allowed to come into your room while you are not there. Don't be a slob, problem solved.

I do the same thing. I got it from my parents, though. If I can keep my room clean at home, why can't I keep a hotel room clean for 3 days? Make the bed, wipe the bathroom counter. Do I seriously need it vacuumed every day?

Just roll the dead bodies under the bed and they won't be noticed 'til after I check out ;)

ShellyCrash 01-17-2010 09:23 PM

Cool to see some of you guys agree w/ me too. I mean, it seems pretty common sense.

same here...

i've seen a couple of rooms of other people at shows (no names - lol) and after 1 or 2 days those rooms look like a hand grenade exploded. i have no idea how people do that... :upsidedow

Does the price of $ 35k include the pilot?

Lots of YouTube videos on how to open those crappy hotel safes.

Chris knows I wouldn't steal his watch. He hosted several servers and class-c networks for me for many years.

The timing was just ironic.
(See what did there?) :1orglaugh:1orglaugh
