No replies or anything. They are in big trouble...

Where the fuck is my money at?!?!

BIGTYMER 02-09-2010 11:32 PM

GTBill hasn't been deleting expired memberships since like Jan 24. I spent hours trying to figure out which members to delete and which to keep. I had tons of members who got like 15 days free because of this shit.

BIGTYMER 02-09-2010 11:36 PM

Did anyone get paid by them last week? I didn't.

We got an email from Local Billing telling us of the new deal with this. Has nothing to do with any gateway or 3rd party processor.

It's a new software that Visa/Mastercard are using to spider sites with. It looks for "questionable" text.

I had to take down a scene on Claudia-Marie because one of the sentences in the description said: "And then he forced her to orgasm"

In other words this software is looking for keywords. And not only is it looking for the obvious ones...it looks for dumb ones too. I could have written: "And then after fucking Claudia-Marie tried to open a pickle jar but it wouldn't open easily and she had to FORCE it open"

And guess what? That dumbass piece of software would have seen the word "Force" and flagged my site.

This is called the BRAM regulation. And here is part of the email we got:

Mandatory changes are being issued from our banks

Some of your sites may require some changes to the text (and in some cases, images) to ensure we are able to continue working on your international sales growth. Failure to comply will result in merchant accounts being shut down, and losing rebills associated with that account. Our objective is to assist you in a speedy resolution, so that we can keep your sites performing as usual.

Who? Why? How is this determined?

Banks and card associations are using a new web-crawling software, ?G2?, to scan the internet for ?non-compliant? material. This software was developed for Visa and Mastercard as a protective measure, by searching the Internet for content that is associated with their brands. They have recently begun a systematic scan of the Internet using G2 to find (and assist them in shutting down), websites that contain material they define to be non-compliant and/or harmful to their branding.

In general, things to avoid include words in the tour that imply:

Non-consensual sex (ex: drinking, drunk, beer, alcohol, forced, raped, humiliated, sleep, and sleeping)
Violence (ex: brutal, pain, and rape)

Wow..:disgust :(

BluMedia 02-10-2010 03:55 AM

That still doesn't explain why people aren't getting a response from GTBill and not getting paid. Regardless of this G2 software I think this would of been handled a lot better by Epoch or CCBill.

Interesting but that really has nothing to do with this issue with GTBill (GetTakenBill). They lost their merchant account or something.

This was said on another board:
GTbill did not just get the merchant processing pulled for adult sites only. This goes much deeper. They are also in trouble with mainstream processing. I do not believe this is just about adult site content being reviewed. I know too many main stream merchants that were affected as well. Try this, call support and ask what is up, then call finance and ask what is up, and then call tech, then sales. You will get 4 different answers!

BIGTYMER 02-10-2010 07:13 AM

This is a real shame. I really liked some of the people there. Not getting paid sucks but not being told the truth or even given an update on the issue sucks even more. It just shows they don't give a shit about us. Who cares if we have families to feed? Thank God all my eggs weren't in that basket but I'm sure many others weren't as lucky.

Turf 02-10-2010 08:34 AM

ouch.... always sucks when a processor goes down.. hopefully they will be able to turn this around and in the mean time if you are ready for the move to a merchant account of your own feel free to hit me up.

I was responding to the original post. I don't know of the rumors or what-not from different boards. I just know that we got that email 3 days ago. And were told that all billing processors are getting shit from Visa and Mastercard because of this spidering software they are using. If GT Bill has other issues I wasn't addressing that. Just what the original post said in it. It said that processing was stopping for "your" (the original posters) site. Which I took to mean just one site that wasn't in compliance with the new regulation.

Anything else I'm unsure of. We don't use GT. But I just wanted to make everyone aware of this new (and stupid) way that the credit card companies are trying to "police" the internet.

And like all software that tries to flag things without any human being on the other end using common sense and judgement, I fear it's gonna fuck with a lot of people.

Hi Guys, sorry I have not been on GFY until today. We are not ignoring anything just wasn't aware of the posts. We have been at the XBIZ conference all week.

Thank you Area51 for letting me know about the concerns

ScottAtGTBill 02-10-2010 03:44 PM

The compliance department has been extremely busy these last few days. I am sorry your concerns have slipped through the cracks and I will personally make sure you (BigTymer & BluMedia) will recieve a response as soon as possible.

Dominic has already responded to this issue on the first page so there is nothing more I can add to what he has already stated.

ScottAtGTBill 02-10-2010 03:47 PM

Also, I am sincerely asking you to please lay off of C-Luv. She is just doing her job as a sales agent and in no way deserves that kind of abuse.

Loch 02-10-2010 04:37 PM

Well guys you scared me away by not being all over this...

Buss 02-10-2010 04:47 PM

Scott dunno if you seen i send you a visitor message or not (when you were here online)...but please get back to me?

BIGTYMER 02-10-2010 05:50 PM

Lets address this 10 to 15% issue. Is ANYONE who uses GTBill still processing with them?

RegUser 02-10-2010 06:54 PM

this is why i knew jettis was gone too and ccbill has started to decline every one en masse. i never got any money from 365billing.
there is some big crack down happening

wasnt spam mate.. i know people effect by this and have been on the end of a few processors going out of business myself as an affiliate and paysite owner so was simply offering my help if anyone needed..

magpan 02-11-2010 04:35 AM

With tons of other processors available, many with a lot more credibility than GTBill, there is no reason to stick around with a company that (1) isn't in the forefront of addressing concerns (while being more worried about XBiz LA or with complimenting someone's new picture on the first page) or (2) (seemingly) considerably affected by this problem in the first place (as soon as this problem arose, there should have been a crisis team put together to address the issue until its conclusion, part of which would have been clear and concise contact with all affected webmasters, both privately and via public forums). Point fingers, convey nonchalance, defend actions, whatever... I'm glad that we're not processing with your company nor in the middle of this mess.

BluMedia 02-11-2010 01:51 PM

Still not a single word from GTBill, because of this I've lost 5k every month so far and growing.

Mark

Tjeezers 02-11-2010 02:06 PM

damn.... this thread still going?
anyone see a red light flashing somewhere?
