3 months will bring you 10 lbs of muscle? You better be doing some hardcore lifting and eating the proper nutrition with an optimum protein-carbs-fats ratio, otherwise that's wishful thinking.

again, i am more than uptodate on my weight training results over the years, i've mentioned more than once that i've looked to my journals i've kept over time showing my plans and results.

i've gained 3 pounds of muscle a month for 2-3 months more than once in my weight training programs.

i find that over the years i go 6 months on, 6 months off, usually due to schedules. summertime i am traveling and on vaca. so i like to look good and don't worry about working out and such consisitently. then during the times of the year when i am home, i am more focused and consistent.

that's me, that's what i've done for many many years now.

JP-pornshooter 02-02-2010 11:20 AM

wow crazy shit..good luck with it and keep us posted.
where you get the testosterone? injections? or HGH?

Choopa Phil 02-02-2010 11:21 AM

demon, if his test levels are above average i dont see why he cant attain this. While it is ass backwards, if it works, they hey why not. Any testosterone will yeild water retention, fat gain, as well as any other side effects testosterone AAS may have. You also may want to get your estrogen levels checked you may experience a rebound from too much test in your system (estrogen rebound) which causes gyno (bitch tits) this can occur with any hormonal/steroid. explain to your doctor your worried about the gel getting on your wife or your kids, its very very bad for females, my dr gave me a run of the gel and my gf couldnt even come on my side of the bed, or even spoon at night. the shots are better/safer IMO, and youll get pretty damn big fast :)

dyna mo 02-02-2010 11:26 AM

it is certainly assbackwards, by design!

this was short term, no big whoop, it's been fun watching the shit fall off. i've had plenty of holiday meals and drinks while still being consistent.

Choopa Phil 02-02-2010 11:28 AM

alot of people who dont body build dont understand there is no particular right or wrong way about gaining/weight loss, its cals in cals out. how u decide to do that or whatever variation is up to you. as for a different NO supp, try USP Labs Jack3d! or Controlled Labs White Flood

exactly.

i just reviewed the last several years of my journals and my fat loss ratio is usu. 3:1 to 4:1 gaining muscle then losing fat BUT i never lost 20+ pounds of fat that way by summer.

i'me with you on the jack3d, i decided on it over the superpump 250. white flood gets me waay too amped, but i do use controlled labs golden finish and purple wrath bcaa mix.

PR_Glen 02-02-2010 11:36 AM

Hey man...

Rapid weight loss + no exercise + testosterone supplements + 45 years old is a seriously dangerous combination for your heart... I really recommend you run this shit by your doctor, i don't want to see you drop here man...

dyna mo 02-02-2010 11:37 AM

oh, i meant a different test to get to replace the topical eh.

Choopa Phil 02-02-2010 11:38 AM

i have Golden finish (terrible name lol) but it just repeats on me all day i always burp the taste of it. Core ABC is also a nice alternative to purple wraath. And i feel you on the white flood! superpump give me the superdumps

Choopa Phil 02-02-2010 11:40 AM

dyna the test gel definitely helped spare some muscle wasting thats for damn! if u got on some dr prescribed shots, ud be in the money!

i won't be going back on the test until month 2 of weight training. i monitor my blood pressure (consistently solid) and my doc gave me a thumbs up at thanksgiving. i've been simply eating low calorie balanced meals, tons of salad and homemade dressing, chicken breasts and egg whites. and the vitamin/anti-oxidant supplement.

:thumbsup

yah, they've updated it with a new product and name, it's got waxy maize instead of malto and they put in another super carb.

what's your thoughts on waxy maize? better than malto?? or hype....

Choopa Phil 02-02-2010 11:44 AM

glad u got it prescribed instead of self medicating! As for a difference, i really dont notice any difference between the 2, im pretty much constantly bulking and eating 3000 cals from solid food and the rest is shakes so getting my pre/postworkout nutrition from those either of those sources is good enough for me

CIVMatt 02-02-2010 11:45 AM

Congrats but I'd really add in a little cardio along with that

i find that doctors are more than helpful when you ask them!

i've got an unopened tub of golden finish so i'll go through that and get the new stuff after a month. i did find 1 article stating that waxy maize is junk but it provided no real test results.

Jeff R 02-02-2010 11:56 AM

First congrats on the weight loss and setting goals....it's a great start.

I really would recommend starting an exercise routine as soon as possible. Unless there is some health issue that is keeping you away from physical exercise you should start training your muscles. You don't have to start with the power lifting. Try lots of reps on small weights, it will help burn the calories and tone the muscle that is currently there.

Just my .02 for what it's worth.

There's something called diminishing returns in the world of weight lifting. If you gained 3 lbs a month for 2-3 months, you'd have to work that much harder to gain another 3 lbs and so on.

as you can tell from my posts, i've poured research into this.

my original question was in regards to dieting being able to shed the last 5 pounds of available fat or not. i cannot find any information about this and inquired.

There was no "disrespect" intended. The fact that you're doing what you're doing leads me to believe that you haven't done the proper research, simple as that. I'm sorry if you feel offended.

clenbuterol, alot of green tea, hydroxycut, and walk 45 minutes a day

this really only starts to happen with a person reaches their maximum amount of nitrogen retention and full muscular capacity, Ive had no trouble bulking from 135 - 182 in two years. Diet and nutrition 100% to the T, constantly bulking right now im at about 4200 cals a day and still gaining.

dyna mo 02-02-2010 12:16 PM

at this point, it's prolly best to say the diet only result has plateaued. i've slowed my metabolism down such that i'd prolly lose another 5 pounds of lean weight just to get the last 5 pounds of fat erased.

that being said, i can get to 10% bodyfat simply as a result of putting muscle back on.

+ 10 pounds of muscle = 171 * 10% = 17.1 pounds adipose.

this has been my experience as well.

not to this level though, i've never gained ~50 pounds of muscle, that's impressive- congrats, but i've never stopped gaining muscle when i train. i've figured out the code for how i gain weight but i've never really sorted out how to lost that super stubborn fat, so i decided to mix it up this time to do so.

NetHorse 02-02-2010 12:32 PM

I'm not going to get too much into it, but yes you can lose fat by diet alone. However, I STRONGLY recommend you do some cardio in combination with your diet routine. Not only will you lose more fat but you will be 10 times healthier, your endurance will go up thus allowing you to complete more repetitions while lifting and you can better tweak your diet to maintain more muscle. If you're starving yourself but not doing any cardio you're going to just look anorexic, who wants that look? I don't know about you, but I strive for a MUSCULAR and lean build.

i was under the impression most athletes maintain a sub-10% bodyfat due to the lifestyle, and that anything closer to 4% is what is risky.

Maintaining a sub 10% BF in most cases is very difficult. Especially with no cardio in your routine, good luck building new muscle and staying under 10% BF with diet alone.

I've been on a moderate diet, with cardio 3X week and weight lifting 3X a week. I'm 226lbs @ around 13%. I would look better if I was a bit leaner, but I'd rather not "yoyo" I feel I can comfortably stay at my size without a crash diet and most importantly my routine is healthy.

dyna mo 02-02-2010 12:50 PM

as has been mentioned several times in this thread. the question was in regards to extending the diet another 2 weeks to lose the last 5 pounds of excess fat i have stored, i've shown the muscle loss calcs and also stated i planned on muscle loss going in to this phase.

i also stated what my goals are and the plan to achieve them. i've also mentioned my fat loss to be within the health and fitness industry healthy max of 3 pounds per week.

i am no more yo-yoing than a bodybuilder pre-contest, much less in fact.
my body weight and proportions were within all healthy limits prior to even starting this.

so i am really unsure of the point of this post.

Well it also depends on whether you're an endo/ecto/mesomorph.

Your thread title is " losing fat with diet alone " I just read your first post and posted a quick reply. The point of my post is I think you should do cardio combined with a good diet and weight training routine. If you want to maintain a low BF you should make cardio a part of your lifestyle. Yeah you can lose whatever you want in the next two weeks, but then what? You think you're just going to gain 100% lean muscle after you cut?

i do cardio, just not with this diet at this time. 3 months is not a permanent thing.

and yes, just like it is possible to gain muscle and lose fat at the same time, i plan to gain muscle and not gain fat at the same time. my past experiences confirm the fact. will i gain muscle as fast as i have in the past over the same amount of time, doubtful, but i do know that i can gain muscle and not necc have to gain fat at the same time.

It's difficult, having your macros perfect to gain 100% muscle mass, that's like a full time job! You have to consume more calories than you're burning AND it has to be the perfect amount of carbs/protein/fats.

Choopa Phil 02-02-2010 01:58 PM

well, as much and as solid as i monitor things (i even check my blood sugars) i should be able to guide it all in the right direction. a small increase in daily protein above my bmr + activity level calorie requirement will do the trick.

You really want to know?.......Go to a beach or a pool or a waterpark
and take your shirt off in front of a lot of people....

I was at the gym running on the treadmill today and I look over and see an older man running his ASS off on the treadmill.....But the non-muscular flabby skin that was bouncing under his shirt said it all.

I'm in the locker room every day and I haven't even gotten all the way in shape yet but if some older out of shape man stands next to me while I'm naked in the mirror, I look like a greek god next to him.
