A question for everyone: Which months would work best for you (and do not conflict with any other show)? |

London is way too expensive. I attended iDate and Ad-tech there last year and it was by far the most expensive 5-day trip I have taken to date.
|
Scotland - has English, not too expensive to fly into and easily accessible via UK. Might not be as pricy as London but I'm sure hotels can be had for high and low end rates.
|
I would go if ever in Ireland.
|
Most major cities in Europe are expensive for Americans. I notice no difference in prices between London, Amsterdam, Paris, Dublin, Rome, etc.
My vote would be London. Easiest international connections and 50 mins from where I live. :D |
Prague,beacuse is cheap,people speak english,connected good with entire world,etc...
|
I would give Florence or Pisa a shot :)
Aren't we all VIPs? :P |

The currently weak dollar is a major problem for my participants and sponsors from the U.S. currently for sure. Definitely does not help when it comes to attracting people from the U.S. to my show. On the other hand - I was just in London for a gathering last Tuesday, and I found London to be CHEAP (even compared to Barcelona) - as the Pound is close to it's all-time historic low against the Euro... |

And which month(s) would work out best for all of you guys?

Ibiza for summer shows and Geneva for winter shows

Why not make Barcelona the "fixed spot" and do a traveling show in a different city each quarter or 3 times per year (so not the same city twice)?
Should bring another crowd and many local to each show also. Rome, Paris, London, Prague, Lisbon, Cancun, Toronto, Hamburg, Dublin, Brussels, Budapest, etc. |
I am all for Eastern Europe in Spring / Summer / Autumn!
Czech Republic or Slovakia would be great. Or even further east to Ukraine |

Brings us back to the question, which 2 month per year would be good for that (without conflicting with other shows)? And - is that not too many shows? What's your take? |
And here are the votes from Germany:
CU soon... |
There are a surprising number of people suggesting Chicago. I doubt that it would be a good idea for me to try to put on a show in Chicago myself, but may be something for my North American collegues to consider...

I like Romania, but I don't think that Romania attracts a broad audience - yet. May be in 2-3 years... Would like to go to Cluj though soon. I heard it is beautiful and growing like crazy... |
Vancouver, obviously. consistently voted best place to live in the world. Plus we have had some great shows here in the past...
|
chicago might be cool during the summer

Baghdad and Kabul ...

I love Barcelona but Prague and Bucharest sounds like a lot of fun and of course Tokyo:thumbsup for a Premium Summit would be very nice ....

It's better to have 1 show where maybe 800 people go to then 3 shows where 100 or 200 people come to. |
Quote:
Under 300 is not an option. If that happens I will stop doing shows. |

Maybe the other shows could be reffered to as local gatherings as a possible new niche that only a few people get into? Might have a nice local touch, I would have to agree. |

This is something we are currently considering to do inbetween Summits. To do a roadshow of smaller, local gatherings all throughout Europe. I will present this idea at the Summit to my sponsors. If I manage to get some (few) sponsors behind this concept and it makes economical sense for everybody involved (participants, sponsors and ourselves) than we will do it. Looking very much forward to welcoming you next week Jaques! Andreas |
