What I can never understand about this kind "amateur" work is. Aren't the girls meant to look like they are doing it for fun and a fuck?

I love all the Anti UK comments based on one guys photography. As DamianJ kindly pointed out, we have our fair share of hot woman and unfortunately more than our fair share of cheap photographers who don't want to pay for talent. Shouldn't really hold that against the whole population though.

Every country has it's less then attractive women, it's just the UK are lucky enough to have this one guy who finds them all so we know where to avoid :)

i'm not criticizing because i shoot a lot of girls on site as-is, in tshirts and whatnot... but i dont "try" to make the shoot look serious or set them up in modeling poses. if you snapped them candidly while they were washing your dishes or something the end result would be much more playful and naturally suit their character because few girls are good glam models imho

Stop wasting your time. I used to make $1,000 a set shooting amateurs like his girls just making them look happier and more natural as you point out. Still some fair money to be made shooting amateurs but the good days are over.

wouldn't it be easier to just get happier girls in the first place?

With my experience and my make up artist (who has really saved my ass at times!!), I could make those girls look really good.




Good interaction with the model is so important. Knowing what positions are flattering and not flattering to the model, background and location, wardrobe, etc. I can go on and on.


Photography and and video production is not about having a DSLR stills camera and a video camera. There is way more to it.



My best advise is find a good photographer and intern for him for at least a year and you will really get good.



But people seem to never want to work for anything and assume shit is easier than it is then they piss off their clients with bad quality of work and loose their gigs.
