My point is that these guys are very smart and cover every single aspect of this adult industry from production, dvd sales,internet sales, internet marketing promotions,etc. Very long list, but you get the point.

Simple concept:

We will give our content away for first, free and make ad revenue off of it before the other tubes steal it, upload it to their site,(claiming someone else uploaded it) and make the money off of the ad space.

The domain and design leave alot to be desired. Also I think the added risk of being "partners" on a deal is also a negative. (many reasons, none personal)

That being said. I think the business model if done correctly will succeed in todays market. (I hate to say this but xxxjay is right, things are changing FAST)

Some are gonna love this idea.. Most are gonna hate it.. Truth of the matter is however you feel about it the affiliate sales model is dying and nearly died.. It was time to shake things up.. Even if this does not work (and I think it should with some maturity) it has the chance to pave the way for something new in the market.. Better to lead the way and take a risk then to let chances pass you by..

you know what? i just started my first tube site this week...if less then a week its over 10k, productivity is higher, time spent on site is higher, and there ratios are THE SAME as tgp.

One thing will be a problem in your experiment Jay: hulu can have a big company spend ad dollars because many eyeballs are on there. It's doable.

But you have a tube site. Even if the content is exclusive, the tube traffic pie is pretty much well established and it'll be hard to get up there with the top 5. The top 5 tube sites are really the ones with ad value to advertizers but still one problem remain...it's porn and most companies won't want to be advertized on there because of moral issues (especially in the mainstream).

Anyways, apart from dating and cam, you expect a sponsor is going to give you ad money? Possible but I doubt it...

More free content to watch = less time to look at the Credit Card number to buy membership or whatever else and more time for jerking off .

there are many things you can sell...from how to books to extenders to freshballs...if you don't find the right product you can always make one.

i wonder how big the risk is to these sponsors? are they putting up their entire inventories of content or part? if it is in fact all the oc cash and ip content then if this thing falls flat, wouldn't those entire operations be in jeopardy?

Good luck. Personally I think it should be a pay tube site.

What people have to realize is that things change and you have to adapt or die. The worst part about tube sites are not that they are free.... the problem is that they make people porn addicts and eventually these porn addicts will spend money. Its just like giving people free weed, with heorin and crack as your upsell. Eventaully they will burn out on the weed and try the upsell.

Adult or mainstream must try new and innovative ways to make money. Everyone must throw 5000 darts at the dartboard in hopes of one sticking.

Anyone who opens a new site and says this is it, its great, is a fool, like jay said himself he hopes it will work, and I only wish him the best, it’s not easy to make money in these days and it’s not easy to launch anything. The design and loading time etc. is real nice.

On wall street many people engage in transactions that many do not understand or do not like, this does not mean they don’t make money, they simply carved out a niche or came up with a new or semi new concept to make some money.

Do tubes hurt this business? Yes, but can this make jay more money then he is currently making? Yes. And that’s what people have to understand, the focus is times like these will be more about how can I make money versus, oh shit the other guy might make less.

Does a site that offers a free service such as google docs, or free email etc. hurt another’s business? Yes, but again the guys who run those sites feel that by giving that out for free it will make them money.

Would I rather see no free porn online? No free escort sites, etc? yeah, but its not going to happen.

Right now guys its all about thinking outside the box and focusing on one thing, how can you make money, no one here is going to pay your bills, it’s everyone on their own.

It’s his content not mine or yours, and that’s the keyword, being upset at someone who produced his own content and then will sell ads that people can view as they view his content is like NBC being upset on CBS for showing people the show Survivor for free and selling ads on it, heck ill try an ad when that site has lots of traffic.
