your design layout is utter crap, you look like a paysite when you hit the page and will lose surfers very fast.
wtf is the point of having a paysite look on a tube? you are defeating the entire purpose of it being a tube. tubes do well because of content delivery your site screams "im going to have to signup to something" whoever told you to have such a bulky header and menu bar should be fired. |
your search is also poorly placed
on channels your thumbs do not maximize space either and the channels titles are to small those thumbs are to small also look to much like "video thumbs" |
your middle part should be put in on a greyish bg so the main bg of the pipes doesnt look over repetative.
then eliminate the yellow bar have white titles on the movies and yellow titles tags for the heading. your header for sure needs to be cut entirely and have content moved way up. it is important. |

last thing i think it was mentioned your domain is utterly stupid and horrid. surfers dont get the joke and you are only trying to immaturely impress GFY "webmasters" with it.
invest in something shorter and quality that surfers can relate with. o and i would start with less ads for now, surfers will gain trust and then you add ads thats how it is done this way. once you have that base it sometimes doesnt matter how much you smack on their. it is all about that base. this way you can move up alot more content also. SEs will like you more also. |
last thing your header layout should not change from index to movie page, it makes it appear as a tour and some surfers will bail.
do yourself a favor and listen to what i have written, i spent a half hour breaking down your site. i am helping for free. drop your balls and make the changes it will help you in the long run. |

While I wish Jay and Dan the best of luck on this ballsy project, I do have mixed emotions about it, because if it succeeds, it will pave the way for a new era in the business, and as a content producer, that is a damn scary new era. The thought of this model turning into the norm, frightens me.
So on one hand I wish you guys all the luck in the word and hope it kicks ass for you. On the other hand, and for my own selfish reasons, I hope it fails like a fuckin' dickhead. :-) lol Rock on! |

HD, if they all can keep from giving all of the super high quality shit away, will be the next big deal. Like B&W versus color. In my eyes, the future will be all of the content free with an option to purchase high quality versions of it. Especially if they ever get that 3D coating right.
The tour will be all of their videos. The monthly membership model is also going to die. They pay $20-$50/mo for a broadband connection they think entitles them to the whole internet. You want them to pay $30/mo for YOUR site? Especially with 1M others out there looking just like it? Really? Why? Better be a god damned miracle, some of the most niched niches out there STILL have competitors, $30 for your site.. a commitment.. Why? No, they won't, not for much longer they won't. If they WILL, someone already ripped your shit off, anyway.... YOU won't adapt, they'll STEAL it anyway The future is all whatever ends up being the STANDARD for quality and LIVE SHIT. Sell the STANDARD, sell something REAL, sell something people NEED, or sell a DREAM. Not this membership model from 1922. Comparing it to houses and cars being given away is pretty stupid.
