For all the haters/doubters - think about the amount of bottled water that is sold worldwide with one quarter of it sold in the US alone - and we have relatively cheap healthy tap water - beverage companies took an idea and stepped out on a limb - they now make billions of dollars a year from something that is widely available for free - its called marketing.

Years before the internet, the porn industry "gave away" (ok so it cost a quarter) porn clips in stores - knowing that those customers would buy 8mm reels of video - and they could get mailed all kinds of offers for anything from mags to toys as "upsells" and was extremely profitable

Going out on a limb here but I believe that anyone that can tap into a market so huge with a novel concept, will not only succeed - they will flourish while everyone sits and watches

The idea is really good but poorly implemented.

Hire someone who knows how to encode videos properly and a server that streams better than your current one.

The revenue stream of only selling ad space will not work. To be exact, it will work, but you will make considerably less money than mixing stuff properly.

There is no other tube site out there with exclusive content, let alone award winning and top selling physical media content.

The reason no one else has done this is because people are scared of change

I think this is an extreme valid point, Dan is great at what he does but variety is key in porn. Surfers dont give a fuck if free porn is exclusive. Theres 1 million places to go for variety.

Start a NZB site and sell subscription to a a Usenet service, you will make more.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but there are tube sites with exclusive content. Exclusive content from many many different producers. Which means much more variety for the user.

Furthermore, you are over amplifying the value of having exclusive content anyways (to some extent) To a surfer, it doesn't matter if a scene is on 20 other sites if he has never seen it before.

So after he visits your site once, he has seen all that you have to offer, which is the same thing over and over again.

You will never compete with the tubes that offer more variety. Granted these other sites are using DMCA to their advantage, and I give you kudos for not doing that and using your own. :thumbsup
