What do you suggest?
Those things can also leave you without heart, seizure, or other medications, dialysis machine, oxygen, insulin, etc. I think coffee is the least of worries in the event of catastrophe. And of course, any caffeine will do in a pinch.

a cup or two....

I guess my point was the less dependencies you have, the better. And caffeine seems like it would be one of the easiest addictions to beat.

The vibe I get from this thread is that most of you would be nothing more than a pile of nervous wrecks without coffee in a catastrophe situation, unable to function and help your family, friends or community.

In other words, a liability.

Rover 02-10-2010 01:46 PM

an espresso in the morning and an espresso before a hockey game

HomerSimpson 02-10-2010 01:49 PM

up to 2 cups a day
1 when I open my eyes
and another one in the afternoon...

Octopus 02-10-2010 01:54 PM

About 5-6 cups. Sometimes more.

True, but caffeine is everywhere man. Every house has it. Every store has it. Would have to be a nuclear event to wipe out the caffeine supply. But then we're all dead anyway.

Now that I have a KEURIG, I have about 5 a day!!! Now if only Dunkin Donuts would make their coffee available for the Keurig I'd be in heaven

I keep 1/2 kilo of cocaine on standby for emergencies

IllTestYourGirls 02-10-2010 07:38 PM

Well define "cup" if cup = 8 oz glass Id say I drink 3/4 a day. All in the morning. But I call that "one cup". Its one of those big travel mugs.

No. If you live in this day and age and you dont have 3 to 6 months worth of food/water in stock you are crazy. :2 cents:

The United States is one major terror attack away from a deep depression. :(
