Timex Sinclair. Never heard of a Timex computer? The Sinclair was so bad I think they were done with the computer thing after it.

Me too. I just had to actually go check, but not one computer on my network can read them. I wonder if I have my thesis backed up on something besides those . . .

My first computer was a Commodore 128, but right after I graduated high school (1989) I got a job working for Radio Shack selling Tandy computers. My mom still has her Tandy 1000 that she bought from me way back then somewhere in storage.

I had the collecovision and wanted the ADAM. My neighbor had the Commodore 64 with the tape drive. He had this Dungeons and Dragons game that would take about 15 minutes to load. When your game was over you had reload the entire thing so if you died in 3 minutes, you had to wait another 15 while it loaded again to play.

Same here but also add the ZX81. I used to love that Spectrum and that fleshy feel keyboard. :)

My Dad got himself an Apple 2 and when he didn't want us kids touching it, he bought us a Laser 128 which was a Apple 2e clone.

I don't think that I have any 8" floppies left. I'll check the storerooms this week and let you know. I have all kinds of crazy old shit back there. Colorado tape backups, jazz/zip disk, 1.44" disk and so much more.

Adam X 02-14-2010 12:16 PM

http://ab3x.com/images/apple2.jpg

take the top off, insert AppleCat modem, stack 3 more disk drives on top of the other one
and boy did I think I had a monster.

ShellyCrash 02-15-2010 12:01 PM

I don't remember what the first one we had in our home was. I know that it was an off brand and that the screen was yellow on black ;)

This is the first computer I "owned"-

An IBM PS/1, it was the shit because it had a color screen. I remember getting in trouble for running up the AOL bill back when they billed you per minute :1orglaugh
