Dan, I've always thought you were/are a VERY bright guy despite the party image you portray.
I would say whether Domenic admits it or not from what you've said so far that you are perceived by this Domenic talent person as a big shot in the industry. as many people DO perceive you and rightfully so. You've made it. You appear stable and profitable in a shitty economy. that says a LOT.
when i ran the bar we'd often have fist fights - we'd break it up and send them home - but tell them to come back tomorrow. Why - their emotion got out of control... they knew they fucked up - it rarely happened with the same person if they ever came back.
Talent is making less and less money these days due to the economy. He may not understand this. Is it reasonable to assume this Domenic person has financial difficulties and is hugely frustrated as he used to get work and isn't now? and is looking for things to blaim it on?
Someone who thinks he's worth someone by no real fault of his own looses his job opportunities and has one 'failure' could blow someone apart. He had no other outlet - so he hit out.
is it right - no. Is it illegal yes. But it's talent.
Tell me the female talent is all stable and roses all the time.
Why is Dan running the show and Dominic on the camera? God blessed Dan with opportunity, drive and maybe a few more brain cells.
i know I'm babbling but what I'm saying is this - don't think of this guy any different than any other talent you deal with. He's got shit in his life, and he doesn't know how to deal with it.
shit this is less drama than MOST female talent if you let them into your life in ANY way
And I'll make a suggestion - Probably the greatest thing you could ever do for this guy is offer him another chance to shoot again some time in the near future. Even if he doesn't take it - you'll feel a lot better if you do. (use lots of Viagra or cialis lol)
